Huh? Who limited him to just those emotions?
Christians worked to end slavery, get women the right to vote, try to keep alcohol at bay, help others with their mission work, helped to end torture, made peace and friends with those we used to bomb for self-defense, and try to show that homosexuality is immoral, there are your morals.
Huh? Care to explain this?the faithful of course
If you want individual freedom and liberty then move to a country that has freedom of religion and act like a believer, not an Atheist.
Read this sentence over carefully and see if you can spot the contradiction.
Maybe intolerance. How does it imply lack?Doesn't jealousy imply lack?
Because why would you be jealous of anyone if you have everything they do?Maybe intolerance. How does it imply lack?
God admits to that.You're funny.
It seems that God's jealousy comes from a place of intolerance of rivalry or unfaithfulness. It would seem the only thing He would lack in this case would be man's servitude not His own incompleteness.Because why would you be jealous of anyone if you have everything they do?

I suppose in a general sense. It could be argued that in this case it it God's desire that you worship Him that inspires His jealousy. His only lack of control in this case is that He allows man the freedom to choose for himself.jealousy is based on fear; lack of control, wouldn't you say?
jealousy is limiting. especially when reverting to violent tendencies in order to manipulate a desired response.
in other words, it's a sign of weakness and insecurity.
But why would He desire man's servitude? Labour is worthless, and one-sided faith is hardly "love" of any sort.It seems that God's jealousy comes from a place of intolerance of rivalry or unfaithfulness. Because He hates sin and it's effects on man and mankind. He offers the only way around sin and wishes for all to come to Him for deliverance. But why would He desire man's servitude? Labour is worthless, and one-sided faith is hardly "love" of any sort.
So why doesn't He simply remove the motivation for sin?Because He hates sin and it's effects on man and mankind. He offers the only way around sin and wishes for all to come to Him for deliverance.
Nice cliche. I've come to expect this as your most forceful of arguments.exactly, lack of control for an all powerful god....
if you love something set it free
if it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it...
I don't know. Eventually He will though, in the ressurection, for those who accept Him.So why doesn't He simply remove the motivation for sin?
Perhaps it part of the free will necessary for man to be able to make the choice to love God.So why doesn't He simply remove the motivation for sin?
