God's Name Removed from the Bible

Maybe you could start by getting Yeshua name right. Jesus is the English translation of the Greek translation. Also Jehovah isn't a Hebrew name, It's Latin. Why make it a point to say people are not calling him by his proper name than base your religion on the latin version of Gods name. I had a neighbor who was French whose name was Michel. It would of been insulting him to call him Michael.
I have a lot of family who are witnesses and they can never get me past that point.

Thats simply not true for most languages. Or are you goint to tell us that you cant reproduce sounds from outside the Indo-European language family, like for example from an Afroasiatic language like Arabic or Hebrew?

Its another matter with languages that are far away like the various language families in Asia.

There is no letter J in Hebrew or Greek. But guess what the sound of the letter is still there. Its just in another letter in another combination.

Wow! It's funny that you say that because thats exactly what I would expect. Muhammad Ali is Muhammad Ali where ever he goes in the world. Also the problem wasn't that we didn't have the letters in English, the fact is we had more letters than the Hebrew language. Hell we even added the letter J into our language 400 years ago. A letter that don't exist in Hebrew to this day. I don't mean to come down on you for all this. It's just that all this really should be sorted out because in another 50 years there will be very little believers left. People will not remain uninformed forever,.

We have never stopped calling the city Yerushalayim. Sorry to tell you. Its simply a matter of convenience when writing with Gentiles that one uses Jerusalem.

Two things: First of all, the Greek says to make laos (us) out of the ethne (them), so it doesn't say "make disciples" at all (although "make disciples" is a fair translation, if one conceives "disciples" in the right way.

Second, "make disciples" vs. "be disciples" (or even "make laos") does not represent a broad issue within the whole scope of Matthew's gospel, for either interpretation fits quite well with the overarching theme of Matthew, which is that all are included in the church without judgment -- sheep and goats, wheat and weeds -- "us" and "them." A broad corruption of Matthew would be when something is mistranslated or misinterpreted to take that central theme off-base (which "make" vs. "be" disciples simply does't accomplish).

And that is the point. We pronounce names and words in whatever language we happen to speak? I"m english and call God by the name Jehovah. A hebrew speaking christian calls him by the name Yahweh. A greek christian calls him by the name Ιεχωβά... Its the same name regardless of how its pronounced or how it looks on paper.

The King James english bible was first written in the 1600's... And that is the bible where we got the name from. We have only been a group since the late 1800's

So we didnt' invent the name... its always been there. Pronunciation is different in every language therefore the focus shouldnt be on pronunciation as if there is only one correct way to pronounce it.... there are thousands of different languages and hence thousands of different pronunciations.

If you want my honest to God opinion on this, I believe one of the reasons they removed God's name and replaced it with "Lord" may have more do with the fact that there is a debate of what God's name would be. Some say Yahweh, others say Jehovah, and so on.
