That I could agree with.I don't think jail is up to the FBI.
While they can arrest & jail people, I think leaders
would be loath to do that to an ex-President.
They're rather above the law, traditionally.

There is no evidence of the DOJ screwing up. There is only far right disinformation speculating of errors, and suspicion of misconduct by the FBI. There is no evidence suggesting either. Thus far all facts involving this set of legal actions suggest they are valid and well thought out.Or the DOJ is trying to get in front of the story of how it screwed up. We will have to wait and see.
My goal is to educate here. But too many refuse to learn At that point all one can do is to defeat them in arguments, again and again and again.Man you're wrong squared yet again, because I already told you that all that I care about are logical arguments in post #75
But you see all this conversation as some kind of a joke.
Beside that I warmly suggest you to start studying philosophy and play chess if your only goal on forums is to "defeat" anyone.
Whish you all the best.
Meanwhile on CNN the news is now that the Trump team is thinking about opposing unsealing the search warrant. That would almost be an open admission that Trump was lying about the search warrant. There is no evidence of the DOJ screwing up. There is only far right disinformation speculating of errors, and suspicion of misconduct by the FBI. There is no evidence suggesting either. Thus far all facts involving this set of legal actions suggest they are valid and well thought out.
The right wing has no idea how to respond except conspiracy theories and disinformation. When will the right just accept that Trump is inept and corrupt and should let him go? The right needs to move on from their Trump addiction.
Guess what?I he does have cameras and thus have a proof against FBI in reserve but is now waiting official accusation from FBI then he is smarter than whole USA for sure.
Not informing the top leader about what your doing...
Sounds so... WW2 - ish involving certain powers.
Trump says FBI wouldn't let his attorneys watch raid (nypost.com)
This suggests FBI might have used the opportunity to plant evidence against Trump.
Imagine yourself being accused of something.
You know you're not guilty.
Would you just keep you mouth shut and say nothing?
No. It is putatively legal. Whether it is actually legal is subject to review.
The situation has changed today. It seems that this response by the Republican leader has backfired on them. see this thread by me:“A bonfire of vengeance.” I like that.
Though, it’s more like… an inferno.
As it turned out today, that's what they sould have done.I don't see how the republicans can believe this is a sound road to election. It's almost as if they are daring citizens to vote for them. They need to let Trump go and face his legal consequences.
That's the way it often works. Before Biden became president, he wanted, he said, the Justice Department to do what they wanted with Trump, and he wouldn't interfere. The president not knowing a raid was going to happen on another former president?
You actually believe that lie,?
The burden of proof is always with the one making the claim. That's not how things work, if trump falsely accused FBI for not letting his attorneys in it would surely be in news to refute his claim.
Burden of proof is on FBI.
This is probably to be expected or a part of procedure.Guess what?
Justice Dept obtained Mar-a-Lago security tapes after subpoenaing Trump Organization
They got the footage from the camera before they got the warrant. It was very likely part of the evidence they used to get the warrant. This might also explain the timing.
It's not hard to prove, all that he needs is his attorneys to confirm thy were denied access. The burden of proof is always with the one making the claim.
If Trump claims that the FBI denied his lawyers access, he'd have to proof that they were in Mar-a-Lago and requested to be present. I doubt he can.
To be inside a house or outside the house is not same thing and beside that it would be really foolish to lie about such a thing.Trump lies. His attorney was there the whole time.
And a Trump lawyer would never do anything foolish. To be inside a house or outside the house is not same thing and beside that it would be really foolish to lie about such a thing.
lawyers are legal persons, just like policemen. And a Trump lawyer would never do anything foolish.
that's odd, they usually tell you this when you're guilty and have no appropriate defense.Yes. That is what almost every defense attorney says you should do.
