I just could not get in to it and the 3 hours and seven minutes it lasted was too long it could not sustain it's self for that long in my opinion. I like the book of the notebook better than the movie of it.. :sorry1: about the gorilla dying.

FTR, I was referring to the original 1933 King Kong earlier.

So you like the remake?

I like them both, though I did think the remake was superior (highly unusual.)

But if you felt it ran on too long, you might prefer the original; it's only an hour and a half (and had BY FAR the superior soundtrack. Seriously, it has HANDS DOWN the BEST soundtrack of the period... then again, considering Dracula from two years prior had no soundtrack whatsoever..)

The main thing why I did not like King Kong the remake that is, I forgot to say it earlier, was because of jack black he ruined it just a terrible actor he is.

Kingdom of Heaven. (this is number 1)

the following list is in no particular order...
LoTR (parts 1 and 3)
Seven Samurai
The Usual Suspects
Its a Wonderful Life
Saving Private Ryan (could only watch it once -- too intense/graphic)
A Grave for Fireflies (if you don't cry uncontrollably, then you are already dead)
Forrest Gump
Fight Club
I would even tip the hat to Titanic as well.

Saving private Ryan was real good. Really graphic, It's a wonderful Life well that's a classic.

Gone with the wind was boring. It just seems like a lot of people like watching it.
I had to do a book report on Gone With The Wind.
I kept falling asleep reading it.
So I thought I would watch the movie instead.
I kept falling asleep during the movie as well.

So My book report was extremely short:
Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell.
I tried to read this book.
I tried to watch the movie.
I was left with the most puzzling of puzzlers:
How was Margaret Mitchell able to stay awake long enough to finish writing it?

So many great WWII movies, crime movies, historical epics, and Sci Fi movies.

But hands down, the best movie in the history of the world is The Princess Bride.

I'm embarrassed to admit that it's a chick flick.
It would be Aliens (extended version which deals with Ripley's grief
over the death of her daughter by old age while in a deep freeze).
