Oh, I am SO sorry. Just like @Deeje says, you may be misled if you want to.

Please, try this> Verily I say to you, there hath not risen, among those born of women, a greater than John the Baptist, but he who is least in the reign of the heavens is greater AS GREAT than he as he is.

It's just a too bad that you believe the words are being protected by Jehovah, but what makes MUCH!!!!!!!! more sense is that the words can protect YOU. But, the only way the words can protect you is if you have them right!

Like me - we can agree to disagree. But I like discussing the Bible anyway with whoever replies.
Tell me, @Tina57 do you actually believe the people on this forum might be interested in your long, long, long* rhetoric?

Might I suggest meditating on Ecclesiastes 12:12?

*long, long, long, long,

Eccl 3:11 Thanks for replying have a nice day.

If you will calm down I quoted from the Living Bible the verses. So how can words be protected by Jehovah??
The Message The New Testament in Contemporary Language from Eugene H Peterson reads : Matt 11:11 "No one in history surpasses John the Baptiser, but in the kingdom he prepared for you, the lowliest person is ahead of him."
Revised Standard Version says what was quoted here in your post but your deleting what was in it originally. Thus twisting the meaning of what Jesus said. I believe Jesus over your interruption/interpretation. (Please read Rev 22:18)
Good News, New American Bible, Amplified Bible, New Living Translation and the Douay Bible say (similar to this from Douay) " Amen, I say to you, there hath not risen among them that are born of women a greater man than John the Baptiser; yet he that is the lesser of the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is."

I was taught to believe that nobody who had died before Jesus Christ died will ever get to Heaven.
It is what the Jehovah's Witnesses believe and teach.
Unfortunately, the dogma of churches, including the WT, is based not on the Bible many times, but on what they church tells their believers this church believes in. What we have then is that each church may have some dogma which mirrors the Bible's teachings and a lot which does not.

Making sense out of what is taught becomes therefore a personal quest, a Sola Scriptura quest.

In the case of this subject, I can give you all the scriptures you want, but let me simply state what is, what things are about:
Christ is going to be king of the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heavens. The reason it is called the kingdom of heavens is because its rulers shall be resurrected human beings (even Christ is such) who are resurrected with a heavenly body; these shall rule the earth with Christ their primary king, and the others shall be his princes, governors, or sub kings if you like, who shall rule with him.

The kingdom of heavens is going to be the entire earth, an earth in which present day kingdoms shall be gone, erased. This is referred to in the Bible as Israel, not the small nation of today.

The ones who are going to rule with Christ had to be spirit anointed; this happened from 33 CE onward. Therefore none who lived and died before that time could become part of the rulers of Christ who are said to be 144000 (whether a literal number or not).

If you want Biblical reading, read Daniel 2:44, Dan chapter 7, Ps 72, Ps 37:9, 10.
Luke 22:30:
that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (not fleshly Israel, but all earth, and the tribes mentioned are not the same ones as in fleshly Israel but the ones mentioned in Rev ch. 7.)

Thank you for commenting. Have you ever considered that John the Baptist was a real person who lived and died?
Yes he is mentioned in the Qur'an as being a Prophet:

Can you imagine someone putting himself in the way of your going somewhere that you believe you have to go?
You mean Heaven? No one knows who will go to Heaven and who is barred from it. The people who came before Jesus pbuh will be judged according to what had been revealed to them.

Ok. You do understand that the ancients were saved by faith just as we are, right?
OMG! Do you mean that they weren't found righteous because of works? Then yes. If you mean something else, then I will need to know what you mean before I agree with you.

Sure. What matters, what they say or what Jesus and His Apostles said?
Maybe you do not know that to say what they believe is a prerequisite for actually being a Jehovah's Witness.
Do you really have much time for semantics? I think I don't.

Tell us how you can call the publishers of The Bible "Babylon the Great" destined for destruction, but at the same time side with HER for The Truth? I shall call that crazy!

I do not know that Jehovah can not spirit anoint someone who doesn't have a physical body.

I think you mean nobody really knows because some people do seem to know that all the people whose faith certainly surpassed most here today will not be going there.

They would have to bring their evidence supporting such a claim. I may have missed it, as I didn't read through all 4 pages of the thread.

Good! LOL.

It isn't about the thread. It is about modern humanity.
The evidence I believe is that Christ was foretold and he came. That is enough evidence for me.

I don't doubt that, but I can assume that a person can be resurrected into a spirit body.
Jesus was because he came from heaven and returned there by resurrection. Only the spirit anointed ones who die as humans and get resurrected in / with spirit bodies get this.

An aside: the WT is right in their claim that prior to Pentecost those who died righteous could not be part of the heavenly resurrection. I disagree with a lot of other things.
Feel free to ask.

1 Cor 15: 44 it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body
. . .
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
