Holes in the trinity

I believe this is one of the places where JW's just throw in the name in place of Lord as though the original text should have it. I believe that is toatally unjustified.
Well, it appears that your belief in this instance is without any base, since the original texts have the tetragrammaton 7,000 times round about. It would be more intelligent to wonder why the name was REMOVED 7,000 times rather than why Jehovah had it included originally. In Ezekiel alone, the phrase "the nations shall have to know that I am Jehovah" appears hundreds of times.

Redemptionsong you seem to have some confusion with the word ''LORD''
The Greek word in both the LXX for "LORD" in referring to YHVH, and in Paul, in referring to Jesus, is kurios. There is no confusion of terms here. That's how Paul sees Jesus -- the same as God. Same title. The Trinity (in concept, at least) is biblical.

If there are holes in the trinity, wouldn't that make it the holy trinity?

...just saying.
Cute. There is no Christian belief known as the trinity. It is a belief of Christendom, all the religions that stem from Constantine in 325 c.e. that ALL include paganism in their faiths, such as Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, SDA, Mormon, etc. etc. etc. Christendom adopted the pagan belief of a triune god when Constantine deemed it so. He was "pontificus maximus" of all pagandom in the early fourth century in Rome. Pagandom believed in a triune god centuries before the inception of Christianity in 33 c.e. by Jesus. Long before he was born, there were trinities of gods. All of which were false. The modern day trinity doctrin believers are all, by virtue of their belief, antichrist and anti-God the Almighty, and they commit the unforgiveable sin of "greiving the holy spirit". All religions of Christendom are false and comprise "Babylon the Great" of today.

There absolutely is!
It is a belief of Christendom
There is no difference between the two.
all the religions that stem from Constantine in 325 c.e. that ALL include paganism in their faiths, such as Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, SDA, Mormon, etc. etc. etc.
None of these stemmed from Constantine.
Christendom adopted the pagan belief of a triune god when Constantine deemed it so.
then why is the concept in the bible?
Long before he was born, there were trinities of gods. All of which were false.
How do you know?
The modern day trinity doctrin believers are all, by virtue of their belief, antichrist and anti-God the Almighty, and they commit the unforgiveable sin of "greiving the holy spirit".
Thanks, once again, for your completely unfounded judgment.
All religions of Christendom are false and comprise "Babylon the Great" of today.
Babylon the Great was the Roman empire of the 2nd century. It had nothing to do with the church.

Mormonism in no way, shape or form stems from Constantine or from mainstream Christianity, and we reject the Nicene Creed every bit as much as you do.

Galations 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are plainly seen, and they are sexual immorality, uncleanness, brazen conduct, 20 idolatry, spiritism, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, divisions, sects, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these. I am forewarning you about these things, the same way I already warned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
According to this, the only acceptable "religion" is what Jesus taught and nothing else. Any religion with a church, clergy, their own beliefs differing from the scriptures, rituals, idols, statues, icons, etc. aren't acceptable to Jehovah God. In fact, Babylon the Great is described as the whore of Babylon and includes all religions having anything whatsoever to do with politics, the world, self glory, collections of money, the following of anyone other than Jesus or Jehovah and other things too numerous to list. Jesus taught what he called "the one true faith" and he didn't call it a religion. In fact, he said no one is greater than anyone else that we are all fellow workers with Jesus. No leader, no priest, no boss, nothing. He also said the faith he taught is a way of life, not something practised on a false sabbath and ignored the rest of the week. Do your own comparisons.

Difference is, you all respect others and don't make a federal case out of it.

Do you realize that this statement doesn't include your JW religion. Your JW religion has leaders. You have the the GB and elders that are greater then everyone else. If they were the same then the Sherderd the flock of God book would not be only given to the elders but to the entire congregation. By your own words you(your faith/religion) would be not be included in "the one true faith". Your continual ridiculing of other religions is getting old.

Actually, that's incorrect. What I am part of is not a "religion" as you claim. It is the one true faith that Jesus taught. It is the Christian Congregation. Your lack of information precludes you from making accurate statements regarding the one true faith, the Christian Congregation. Your claim that the governing body is greater than everyone else is so far from correct, there are no words to express it. But I will say that they are the same exactly as everyone else, with the exception that they've taken on additional responsibilities. Your claim that elders are greater than everyone else is also a lie. They are no different from anyone else in the congregations. They too have taken on additional responsibilities, and nothing more. They are fellow slaves of the Christ and nothing more. You claim I have ridiculed religions. That is a complete lie. I've never ridiculed them. Stating God's view of them is not ridicule. It would behoove you to actually research that about which you speak, BEFORE you speak about it. Your total lack of information about God's Earthly organization prevents you from making accurate statements about them. Learn about them, FROM them, or keep quiet.

I was editing my comment because spell check change somethings I didn't realize, so please go back and reread it. I have learn about your religion, I was raised in it. If everybody is the same and you have no leaders there wouldn't be a hierarchy in it. Which their are different levels for what you call "responsibilities". There wouldn't be handbooks handed out to only the elders. And saying that other religions are false and pagan isn't god's view but your own. Yes, you have ridiculed and judged them by saying they are all false. It would behoove you actually research what is out there instead but being stuck in you own little world.

There is no heirarchy. Saying that religions are false IS God's view. Since it's His view, it is also my view.

So, where have I mocked or made fun of religion? The answer is NOWHERE. You need to understand the definition of ridicule in order to correctly use the word. I've never mocked religions, only expressed sadness that all religions invented by man work so diligently in opposition to Jehovah God. Since you were "raised" in the one true faith, and then decided to become apostate and join some "religion" invented by man, your understanding of the scriptures is flawed, as Satan veils their meaning to such people. The only way to understand scriptures is for God to use holy spirit to open up their meaning to someone. No other way exists.

I can't stand the term apostate. It makes some feel that they have the right to treat someone like crap if they consider them apostates. I want to know what makes a person an apostate according to you. Does it matter if they have or haven't been baptized? I Haven't joined any religion since I stopped going to meetings. Okay so I guess a better way to say it is that you look down upon them and judge them by calling them false. Either way you most likely got what I am trying to say.

Edited: If you left some other religion to become a JW you would also be an apostate.
