current science is examining the idea that homosexuality may actually promote fertility in hetero siblings and other family members of homosexuality.... so actually homosexuality may ironically be good for babies, breeding and homosapien populations... considering our current crisis with damaged sperms world wide and other similar issues...

I'm going to go out on a limb and make a prediction here, and this isn't meant to insult but I think it would be sort of telling on your opinions. Your opinions don't reflect that you know any homosexuals personally.

Do you personally have any openly homosexual friends?

I'd bet that you don't, just a hunch because if you did then I doubt you would say some of the things that you do about homosexuals' "motives."

That is because those people are what we call bisexual. These are people who are attracted to both men and women. Homosexuals are only attracted to the same sex.

I have heard many homosexuals including Meow Mix, the homosexual in the video in post #147 talk about how they state that they really have no sexual attraction to women. You on the other hand who does not know anything about how it is like to be homosexual claim that they actually are heterosexual instinctively.

Today I pray for people in Africa & throughout the world who long for freedom because they are lesbian, gay bisexual or transgender. It grieves me to be retiring at this crucial moment in history, so I write to you in this open letter, to invite you to pick up the work that remains to be done. More than 70 countries still imprison or execute gay & transgender people, & bullying & murders are all too common. this must change.

I have always striven for a life of love in action. Many told me to stop. They called me a communist or they told me that I might be killed. Should we rest on our laurels or respond to the urgency of justice?

Boldy, I urge all faith leaders & politicians to stop persecuting people based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. Every day people live in fear because of who they love. We are talking about our family members, our flesh & blood, our humanity. LGBT people are in our villages, towns, cities, countries-and our whole world.

In South African churches we have sung, "Oh freedom! Freedom is coming, oh yes I know." We sang this chorus at the lowest parts of our journey toward freedom against the racist & colonialist system of apartheid, & we still sing it to this day. Freedom is coming-and those who have freedom must speak out for those whose freedom is under attack. We can & must make a difference.

What groups? Do they trap gay people in nets and throw them in their anti-gay van? How do they try to convert them? I can see how a cultural doctrine that it's unacceptable to be gay would motivate (even if negatively) newly gay people to try to change, but I can't imagine that people are in therapy against their will. Except maybe some kids whose parents insist.

Who cares why the gays are there? That does not justify the falsifying results, questionable methods or the unregulated human experimentation by crack-pot Christian pseudo-scientist. They are lying to people and they don't know how to change human sexuality. All they are doing is messing people up.

As an atheist homosexuality is a failure in that it is self extinguishing. You cannot breed by definition if you are truely homosexual, therefore it will have no net benefit or deficit to the human condition. it is basically irrelevant, confined to the temporary position of local minority gratification.

I think there is direct evolutionary benefit to women who have the capacity for a homosexual relationship, and would be happy to explain why such women are more likely to bear offspring who will survive and reproduce.

its natural for a man and woman to have sex...the evidence is seen both physically and mentally

but homosexuality does not produce children, its not a learned behavior passed on from ones parents...it doesnt benefit the individual in terms of evolution...so what is its purpose? This is why it is mostly believed to be a choice.

And how much do you really know about that? Nothing? I gonna assume it is nothing, because that is usually what you people know. Which is odd, because you people tend to talk a lot about the nature of homosexuality, but I kind of doubt you have ever taken the time to actually understand it.

The evidence that homosexuality is heredity and biological keeps piling up. There is quite a bit of it now. Really, the only people who deny that is influenced by biology and genetics are the ignorant and the prejudice.

First you would have to know why the dog humps my leg sometimes, is it because it believes my leg will have puppys, I think not. I dont think they really know, It would seem its because of hormones, but I dont really know. Natural is a big word,I think homesexuality is against Gods Word.I think it is a spiritual illness. The polar bear ,wolf,etc, will sometimes eat there young, If humans did that it would be considered a sin, amongst other things.

Now I know this is hard for some people, but think. Can you see any difference between two people loving each other and eating your young? Does anything jump out at you?

This is another odd notion. You seem to think that homosexuality is so absolutely wonderful for everyone, gay and straight, that if we allow people to do it, everyone will want to. Is that what you think?

what I, or anyone else, thinks about it is irrelevant...if what you want to know is what 'God' thinks about it, then the answer is simple

God opposes homosexuality because, among other things, it does not benefit the individual. This fact is expressed in the apostle Paul’s letter to Christians where he said:

“That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female..."



The bible does not speak about animals and their sexual behavior so its not possible to know for sure.
However, human 'immoral' sexual behavior is 'likened' to animal behavior and for that reason I would have to conclude that humans were expected to exhibit a standard of morals and ethics which animals were not.

And this is what you get if you base your morality on ancient tribal purity taboos instead of compassion and truth. It's not about kindness and honesty, it's about what kind of sex you have.

At the very least, they should be as strict about divorce and remarriage for heterosexuals as they are about homosexuality. And I don't mean the Catholic solution, where they just call their divorces annulments.

If your first marriage fails, that's it. You're celibate for life or you're out of the church. That's absolutely no hardship at all compared to the way they expect gay folks to live, i.e., celibate for life with no chance at all of having an intimate relationship.

Christian heterosexuals are not even expected to follow their own rules. I know a woman who has had four divorces, and has married five different men in the church. I know dozens of Catholics and Orthodox who have been divorced and had their second marriages blessed by their churches. I know Episcopal clergy who are divorced and remarried but have left the Episcopal Church because they won't tolerate the church's acceptance of gay people. In the LDS Church even if you marry in the temple "for time and eternity" you can still get a divorce and marry somebody else in the temple for time and eternity.

I don't care what they do, but such shameless hypocrisy is one of the reasons I have little respect for Christianity. If they expect gay people to abide by the arbitrary rule of "one man + one woman," then they had damned well better be prepared to abide by that rule themselves. But the churches will accommodate the straight folks while pretending no accommodation is possible for gay folks, because the pulpits and the pews alike are filled with bigots and hypocrites.
