How can someone be a male and be a feminist at the same time?

This has to be for the first time in my 40 years of life on this planet ever been called racist and misogynistic. I guess there's a first time for everything. LOL

Once again, where is the evidence that there doesn't exist at least 1 male rapist who isn't motivated by their horniness? Still waiting for evidence, nice try at ducking the question.

My opinion was clear from the outset; that I don't know the whether or not any particular male rapist in the world was motivated by their desire from to fulfill their sexual needs. You claim to know, hence you need to provide evidence for the massive claim you made.

You haven't answered a simple yes/no question. You are unable for a reason I can only speculate about. Let's try again; the proposition is "considering the rate of violent crime against women in South Africa, women in South Africa should take precautions". Agree or disagree? I'm pretty sure an 8 yearld could answer this question...

Nope. My claim was that factors other than "horniness" are often the motivation for rape, for which evidence has been posted that you've yet to address. You're the only one who brought up the "at least 1 male who committed rape due to being horny" thing.

And as I said earlier, I've already answered the question in detail. If you insist that the answer to it be black-and-white, be my guest, but don't expect everyone to give you the kind of answer you seem to be looking for.

Now I'm jealous that you beat me to being called racist and misogynistic.

Nope. You clearly supported a precise viewpoint; that there doesn't exist a single male rapist who is motivated by their horniness. You are trying to quickly back-peddle. So, I take it that you agree with me then, that we simply don't know if there is a male rapist who is motivated by their need for sexual fulfiment? If you do agree (as you must) then you have recanted your initial view. If you don't agree, then please provide the evidence. Too much talk, no evidence. Not looking good for you.

Unfortunately for you, it is indeed a black or white scenario. I think you're ashamed of your answer. Which is probably that women shouldn't take any precautions despite being openly targeted in South Africa. What a vile, repulsive viewpoint. Disgusting.

Please quote the post where anybody other than you tries to pursue an argument over whether or not not one single rapist anywhere on earth has ever raped as a result of being horny.

You asked for evidence and evidence was provided. Rapists have been thoroughly studied and their psychology profiled, and the studies have determined that adult rape is a crime of anger or a desire to dominate and control others. It is not a matter of getting really, really horny and losing your self control.

Are there also some rapists out there who rape without anger or a desire to dominate and control others? Yes - pedophiles in general. But they can control themselves. some of them simply choose not to. They also spend a lot of time grooming victims and want to believe the sex is consensual, so you can't really make a case that they're just too horny to control themselves.

Might there be one adult rapist who is just really horny, but has no inclination to violence or domination, who rapes only because of an uncontrollable sex drive? Maybe. There might be a unicorn in my back garden. I don't know. I haven't looked. If you think there isn't, it's your job to prove it.

This is the assertion I was making all along.

You whole post is an apology for being unable to back up your point- that there doesn't exist a single male rapist worldwide who raped because of an uncontrollable sexual desire. Stop back peddling, and give me the undisputed evidence of your assertion. You could of course, just recant your opinion, but that seems unlikely...

Would you mind quoting where I claimed what you're saying I claimed? Because I haven't seen anyone in this thread mention anything about "at least 1 man raping due to horniness" except you.

My answer is still the same, too, and the issue definitely isn't black-and-white. I neither agree with you nor do I have to, unless you think that everyone who has been disagreeing with you in this thread also "must" agree with your viewpoint...

You're going to need to quote me the post where I made that argument.

Do you really think this is a good debate strategy?

Really?

You do realize that everybody knows it's a straw man, I hope?

Aren't you embarrassed?

I'm the one that made the claim initially, but I found you disagreeing, disagreeable, and in denial. You've blatantly opposed my opinion, so therefore I want to see the evidence you can muster up for the opinion that you have decided to support, namely there there doesn't exist a single male rapist worldwide who raped because of their inability to control their sexual desires.

Again, it's a simple question which you are refusing to answer because you don't want to show yourself to be the vile person you are characterizing. I don't blame you for holding the disgusting opinion you do, after all, this is a free society where you can do or say as you please without fear of reprisals. Unlike for South African women unfortunately.

You're trying your hardest to rush back to my side of the argument, now that you've found you have no supporting evidence. I won't let you I'm afraid. You've made your bed, now lie in it :)

Can I take this doubling down on your straw man to mean you are not embarrassed?

I'm not interested in backtalk. If you wanted to agree with my opinion, you had plenty of chances, (and you still do). If you don't agree, provide the evidence.

Considering that the question has been answered and evidence against your argument has been provided, would it be safe to say that you're just trying to get people to agree with you or else they're "vile," "disgusting," etc.?

I hope that's not the case, because then there wouldn't really be any reason to pursue the debate (which has gradually turned into a wild-goose chase full of straw men and red herrings) any further.

I was thinking the same thing. I believe this is exactly the reason the ignore function was invented.

Considering that you have failed to provide evidence for your objection to my initial statement, would it be fair to say that you're unwilling to admit that you hold a position which you simply can't back up, and yet follow blindly?

My opinion of anyone who believes that women shouldn't be taking precautions when violent crime is so high in South Africa is very clear. It's a shame you're in that category.
