How Can we know that either Christianity or Islam is right?

Comparing both books from a scientific point of view is an objective approach, and this is what Dr. Maurice Bucaille, a French surgeon, did in his book (The Bible, The Qur'an and science)

The results of his research into the Judeo-Christian Revelation and the Qur'an are presented in his on-line book:

God's angels connect between Heaven and earth

Angel Gabriel came to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, when the Prophet was 40, with the first verses of the Qur'an, which started with the command (Read).

This revelation continued for 23 years till the whole revelation of the Qur'an was completed.

On one occasion, angel Gabriel came to earth and appeared to the Prophet and his companions in human form. This event was recorded in a sound Hadith, which is the second hadith on this page:

An-Nawawi's Forty Hadiths

They have a lot in common after all. They both claim to be the only true religion of God. They both claim that Abraham and the patriarchs were Christians or Muslims respectively. They both claim to be children of Abraham. They both claim that if you leave their religion to become any other religion you'll go to hell. Christians claim that if Christians become Muslim they're going to hell, and Muslims claim if a Muslim leaves Islam for any other religion they're hellbound. Which is actually true?

Sorry , I am replying late but i suggest you to read both Quran and Bibble , you will find the truth by yourself.

Allah , has given us heart which never tell us lies , every person know what is good and what is bad , a robber might robs but deeps in his heart he know he is doing wrong but still he do taht , (I am talking about inner heart means deep feeling ), so read the Quran and Bilble and try to understand what Quran says to you , if you need to clarify anything ask people who had knowlege.

Do it with your heart to find the truth , with passion that you want to find what is right? Ask and pray Allah to help you to find the truth , and you will inshahallah find
it.

Not difficult if you plan to do so.

"Accurate" isn't the issue. "True" isn't the issue. "Accurate" and "true" both argue for fact. Neither is based in fact, but in mystery. Both are similar because both subscribe to the same root mystery. And both espouse truth that lies beyond fact.

BTW, Xians do not claim that Abraham and the patriarchs were Christian. We don't even claim that they were Jewish. And I don't claim that if someone leaves the religion they wind up in hell. I don't believe that anyone winds up in hell.

you can be sure that there can only be one true religion. As much as some of these religions might have very close resemblance, still only one can be true.In no day shall the devil come out openly and tell you he is the liar, he comes in the name of God so as to many.I beleive that every word that comes from the Creators mouth must come true. This is the only way to know whose God is speaking the truth.
what words come from the Creator's mouth? How do you recognize them?

Xians do not claim that Abraham and the patriarchs were Christian.
But they do claim that they are the only people who follow the God of those men. Muslims are as far from their God as Hindus or Buddhists- perhaps farther.

But then reading Orthodox theology has always been akin to finding the way in fog.
The desert fathers taught and practiced what they called "the dark night of the soul." Even Isaiah said that "the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light." Perhaps the fog is in one's own mind, not within the theology itself...
Because the Hindu and the Muslim don't accept that Christ died in their place for their sins. (And neither do Orthodox, as it happens.)
And the Orthodox would be correct. (Why do you think it's called "orthodox?")

He said that the Holy Spirit would convict the whole world of the truth of the gospel. He told the disciples to preach to the whole world, and they repeatedly wrote of the universality of the gospel.
That's what the gospel writer said he said. By the time the extant gospels were written, Xy had an agenda.

BTW: What exactly was it that the disciples were supposed to preach?

One way to answer your question is by comparing both scriptures

While Muslims believe that the original Divine Book revealed to Jesus, peace be upon him, (The Injeel), was authentic (and this is actually one of the six articles of faith in Islam), we believe that the current Bible is not the Book revealed to Jesus.

This is one comparison done by a French scientist, titled (The Bible, The Qur'an and Science: The Holy Scriptures Examined in the Light of Modern Knowledge)

The Bible, The Qur'an and Science
Of course it wasn't. The NT wasn't written down until after Jesus' ascension. The only stuff "revealed to Jesus" were the Hebrew texts.

The desert fathers taught and practiced what they called "the dark night of the soul."
But they were pagans.

Even Isaiah said that "the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light."
'This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil.' Jn 3:19 GNB

Why do you think it's called "orthodox?"
Because it's anything but, of course.

ROFL!!!
Yeah... The desert fathers were Pagan. Bone up on your Christian history, please, and get back to me.
'This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil.' Jn 3:19 GNB
Not cogent. Theology is not used to keep us in the dark. It is used to help us see light.
Because it's anything but, of course.
