What reason did Muhammad have for thinking that?
When you want to make up your own religion, bad-mouthing the existing ones is a pretty useful device.

What reason did Muhammad have for thinking that?
Is there any evidence that God had anything to do with Muhammad? He was informed by God
'"Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late," said the White Rabbit.'Angel Gabriel came to Prophet Muhammad
They have a lot in common after all. They both claim to be the only true religion of God. They both claim that Abraham and the patriarchs were Christians or Muslims respectively. They both claim to be children of Abraham. They both claim that if you leave their religion to become any other religion you'll go to hell. Christians claim that if Christians become Muslim they're going to hell, and Muslims claim if a Muslim leaves Islam for any other religion they're hellbound. Which is actually true?
I did. Muhammad read the Bible, hated it, and wrote the Qur'an in spite.Sorry , I am replying late but i suggest you to read both Quran and Bibble , you will find the truth by yourself.
"Accurate" isn't the issue. "True" isn't the issue. "Accurate" and "true" both argue for fact. Neither is based in fact, but in mystery. Both are similar because both subscribe to the same root mystery. And both espouse truth that lies beyond fact.
God doesn't have doctrine. Humanity has doctrine. So does God have two sets of doctrines?
what words come from the Creator's mouth? How do you recognize them?you can be sure that there can only be one true religion. As much as some of these religions might have very close resemblance, still only one can be true.In no day shall the devil come out openly and tell you he is the liar, he comes in the name of God so as to many.I beleive that every word that comes from the Creators mouth must come true. This is the only way to know whose God is speaking the truth.
But they do claim that they are the only people who follow the God of those men. Muslims are as far from their God as Hindus or Buddhists- perhaps farther.Xians do not claim that Abraham and the patriarchs were Christian.
So he is just a dummy on a pole? Like Baal?God doesn't have doctrine.
The desert fathers taught and practiced what they called "the dark night of the soul." Even Isaiah said that "the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light." Perhaps the fog is in one's own mind, not within the theology itself...But then reading Orthodox theology has always been akin to finding the way in fog.
And the Orthodox would be correct. (Why do you think it's called "orthodox?")Because the Hindu and the Muslim don't accept that Christ died in their place for their sins. (And neither do Orthodox, as it happens.)
That's what the gospel writer said he said. By the time the extant gospels were written, Xy had an agenda. He said that the Holy Spirit would convict the whole world of the truth of the gospel. He told the disciples to preach to the whole world, and they repeatedly wrote of the universality of the gospel.
Of course it wasn't. The NT wasn't written down until after Jesus' ascension. The only stuff "revealed to Jesus" were the Hebrew texts. One way to answer your question is by comparing both scriptures
While Muslims believe that the original Divine Book revealed to Jesus, peace be upon him, (The Injeel), was authentic (and this is actually one of the six articles of faith in Islam), we believe that the current Bible is not the Book revealed to Jesus.
This is one comparison done by a French scientist, titled (The Bible, The Qur'an and Science: The Holy Scriptures Examined in the Light of Modern Knowledge)
The Bible, The Qur'an and Science
But they were pagans. The desert fathers taught and practiced what they called "the dark night of the soul."
'This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil.' Jn 3:19 GNBEven Isaiah said that "the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light."
Because it's anything but, of course. Why do you think it's called "orthodox?"
No, they don't make that claim. But they do claim that they are the only people who follow the God of those men. Muslims are as far from their God as Hindus or Buddhists- perhaps farther.
In what way does "no doctrine" = "dummy-on-a-pole?"So he is just a dummy on a pole? Like Baal?
Orthodox are little different from Muslims. A line drawn from England to India makes a fairly good basis for theological classification. No, they don't make that claim.
ROFL!!!But they were pagans.
Not cogent. Theology is not used to keep us in the dark. It is used to help us see light.'This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil.' Jn 3:19 GNB
"The sky isn't really blue. It only looks that way, because that's the name we've assigned to that color." -- G. CarlinBecause it's anything but, of course.
