I have a question for all members

You respond like a young man who is still in school. I did read the rules. Since you also post, don’t the rule about insulting members apply to you? Should you not give yourself a warning for that?

The problem with this is that sometimes a person is insulted when no one is actually insulting him or her. In fact, it has happened quite often. Even I am guilty of that on occasion when I didn't read a post thoroughly. I think that most times people actually choose to be insulted.

I just want to interject, as one who has worked in pictures, that "yada yada yada" would look completely ridiculous on film.

As someone who has studied phonetics and also dealt in film, I would like to agree with you. 'Yada' doesn't even move the lips, no matter how many times you concatenate it, and extras need to move their lips sometimes.

'Watermelon' works the lips.

Cooler than most of you
After reading through 18 pages of this mediocre thread I feel as if I wasted 15 minutes of my life.
Am I the only one here demanding a full refund?

Just a suggestion for the future... you don't have to read the entire thread if you don't like it. I'm just saying. You probably could have waste a lot less of your time that way.

I am curious also. When you read the OP of this thread, and then got through a few of the first responses from the host of it... did you honestly expect it to turn out a different way? If so, which way would have entertained you?

And finally, here is your refund:

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Well, in my opinion;
In that case, it matters not what either side says, nothing is learned. Nothing is gained.
So of what value is the forum?

You get a window of diverse beliefs and ideologies.

Insight through others eyes.

Learn some aspects that you may not have known of anothers religion or philosophy.

See a broader picture via diversity.

It's impossible not to read and feel incredibly disappointed. It's just human nature. We can help ourselves.

And yet... you kept reading... fascinating, no?

Hey now, don't mock my me ya jokers :D. I was under the impression that the next page would "lead into the main topic" and I kept clicking in hopes that would happen. Sadly it did not and for once in my life being persistent has failed me. One would think that the more information given from the responses of the OP would give a more concrete question or topic of debate the better the thread would get. This is the first thread I have ever seen where there topic is essentially nothing. It is like talking to a supermarket clerk.

Oh the sorrows that irony has wrought upon thine noble forum readers :faint:

Same thing happened to me at a coffee shop, except that the guy immediately launched into a LOUD lecture about the evils of religion. Complete stranger too.

Oh that is rather creepy. I have never had such an experience and hopefully won't. But I now have another excuse as to why I should keep my religious views private

It's weird: for some reason, when it comes to religion it's as if people suddenly become oblivious to other peoples boundaries.

I hate when people interject and try to shove god down my throat. Then get mad at me when I tell them I find their god vile. Like I am the one who started the convo. Bah maybe I should just smile and nod or perhaps a hail satan?

I have read all your personal comments. Thank you. I learned many years ago to see the whole world through the writing of a few. One of you is a trained writer. He aside from all of you knows a writer, be he professional, or just a scribbler, shows their soul. It is true, people can not hide when they put words to paper.
When nations fall, it is because their people become little people. Puffed up with little things they claim, “See? Do you see I am above this one, or that one.”
Some have reasoned, “I am smarter than the old…don’t you see, I am young.” For you, I have a smart pill. Put aside your comic books. Read Shakespeare. You will find one play just for you. A young man stops to watch a grave digger. A skull falls out of an adjoining grave. The young man picks it up, holds it high, and says, “Ah…you were like I am, and I shall be like you are. An older one steps forward and proclaims, “Proven? Hahaha. Don’t you know…nothing can be proven?” He forgot to add his own words in that statement.
Two showed real compassion. Some stood on the side, and said nothing, for fear they too would come under attack. These are the ones with feet of clay.
I have learned nothing on this thread I did not already know. Most do not know the near future. Just a few know what is coming down the pike. Don’t worry, the future itself will reveal it to you. Some have asked, “Why did you stand silent?” I learned to be silent form the one whose footsteps I try to walk in.
These words are just my opinion in accord to rule 8, and are not intended to reflect on anybody who has posted on this thread…it may reflect of those who post after reading this., I have no idea? I am old...what do old people know?

That's quite a judgment for people you don't even know.

What does any of this have to do with you threatening people and refusing to debate, while completely misunderstanding what this forum is for?

You still haven't defended your position, people have still tried to help you, no one is flaming you, and what you wrote above says nothing except that you think kids look down on you and you can see the future. Neither of which has been demonstrated in this thread.

I have read all your personal comments. Thank you. I learned many years ago to see the whole world through the writing of a few. One of you is a trained writer.

And one of you is not.

He aside from all of you knows a writer, be he professional, or just a scribbler, shows their soul. It is true, people can not hide when they put words to paper.

Well, it's true that if you keep talking long enough you'll give yourself away. For some, it doesn't take all that long. There isn't that much there that isn't immediately obvious.

When nations fall, it is because their people become little people. Puffed up with little things they claim, “See? Do you see I am above this one, or that one.”

And that's when they start responding to other people with things like "yadayadayada".

Some have reasoned, “I am smarter than the old…don’t you see, I am young.”

And others have reasoned, "I am old, everyone is obligated to humor me no matter what nonsense I come up with".

For you, I have a smart pill.

Physician heal thyself.

Put aside your comic books. Read Shakespeare.

I'm intimately familiar with Shakespeare and I can say with some certainty that he would have been a big fan of comic books.

You should probably go back and read that again (psst, it's called Hamlet).

Two showed real compassion. Some stood on the side, and said nothing, for fear they too would come under attack. These are the ones with feet of clay.

Leave the audience alone. We already have people asking for their money back.

I have learned nothing on this thread I did not already know.

I have a feeling that's a theme for you.

Depends on how much time they've spent walking on this planet with their eyes open.

Some have been stumbling in the dark all their lives.
