I am adding words to try to help you understand. Because you are confused otherwise.Oh dear. There you go, adding another word. You have added "give". No, really, you have.
Did you even look at it? http://biblehub.com/text/exodus/20-16.htm
You are right, but that probably isn't go to happen.Perhaps you should study Hebrew first.
I understand that it is wrong to give a false witness. If that is what it means, it can't mean something else. Right?I am adding words to try to help you understand. Because you are confused otherwise.
bearing false witness, is giving false testimonyI understand that it is wrong to give a false witness. If that is what it means, it can't mean something else. Right?
Okay, so what is it that you want it to say?I understand that it is wrong to give a false witness. If that is what it means, it can't mean something else. Right?
Why do you fight that it shouldn't say that we are admonished to not believe wrongly about people? To "bear false witness" IS to give false testimony.
I do not fight that. Certainly you should not say wrongly about other people. If that is true, you should not believe wrongly about people either. Why do you fight that it shouldn't say that we are admonished to not believe wrongly about people?
Would it be a much better world if God has told us not to believe anything about anyone that is not true?
Some people bear a bad opinion of people of another race. There is no command against that, according to you and every Jew.
Why do you think I do not believe the theory of evolution? It's not because it can't be true. It's because I have not seen the evidence. The German people with their priests and ministers trusted Hitler to do good for them.
They BORE witness that he was good for them.
Is this correct?

Yes, The word of God makes a lot of things very clear as to what is good and what is not good. Without the word of God, I believe the world would be so full of subjectivity, no one could decipher anything with regard to objective morality. If humankind would please know that God has commanded that You not be a witness for stuff you have wrong.
Do not propagate lies. They can be good lies. If it was only bad lies that you are commanded not to bear, you would need to judge good and bad. Can you do that? I can't.
I am suggesting that I have not seen the evidence for evolution, not that the evidence does not exist. Should I believe something just because someone says it is true? We just concluded that I should not. Do I have to go out and research everything people say, or can I just acknowledge that I do not know the answer? With regard to evolution, and its veracity and truthfulness, I really don't care. It would not affect my life one way or the other if I were to know for certain. So why waste my time on it?There is evidence of evolution. I have been accused of going off topic, and I do, but WOW, you win the prize, I think, if there is a prize for going off..............
I am with you about not wasting my time on it.I am suggesting that I have not seen the evidence for evolution, not that the evidence does not exist. People know that it is immoral to bear false witness about others. Yet they do it anyway. That is what we do. We do what we want despite the morality of it. Sometimes when people know the rules, they do try to follow the rules. But not everyone will do that. So no, humanity won't change one bit if the verse said what you thought it said.If the commandment says what I think it says people who care to obey it would get to know about a person before drawing a conclusion (whether good or bad).
And, humankind would then evolve the ability to do so. Wouldn't it?
Oh ya, evolution is false. But it isn't.
I'm with you here.I am with you about not wasting my time on it.
To me, evolution is just God letting change happen. We can go for good changes or for bad changes. I choose good. People who are for the changed Bible are going for bad changes. I am sure.
No, you are not. LOLI'm with you here.
