For me personally there is no such thing as a god, when we die, that's it, we die, why be so greedy and want to live for ever, you had your chance to live this life to its fullest.

How is it possible to not live life to its fullest?

Playing semantics doesn't work with me

Thanks for the irrelevant piece of information.

A more relevant question is, why doesn't basic reasoning work with you? Why are your posts completely devoid of it?

I simply state what I have experienced, if you don't like what I have experienced and am sharing then that's Ok with me

You've experienced that people can live life to the fullest even though some people die as infants and that as such people are greedy for wanting anymore out of life than what they're given?

Or is it more like that you just need to believe that people can live life to the fullest and that no more is needed, and that wanting more is greedy, to maintain your emotional perspective of the issue and your natural human vulnerability towards our own mortality?

I'm not going to argue with you

You already are, just alarmingly without even trying to resort to reason in your arguments.

your mind is made up, as my mid is made up

My mind is not made up.

Yes I can see that.

Yet you're still posting nonsense.

as you said people kill each other because of religion, it is not true.

It's not?

Okay. I though it was true for some reason. Let's just forget that part entirely. I'll pretend i've never even thought of it.

yes, right.

So for example, you still wouldn't have married anyone who didn't believe in Allah, as is prohibited in Islam, despite of Islam and it's propositions being actually false in that scenario, right?

I'm sorry but you are just wanting to argue with me, and I wont play that game, I have already said what I need to say, what you add to what I say is up to you. Myself I am not caught up in emotions, I am happy with life whatever it brings, and believe me I have experienced the worse you can imagine, but I still love the life that is given to me, no matter how long or short it is.

Yes that's it, to live life to its so called fullest is to except life as it is, no emotions blinding that life.

By chance, did you get your notion of the role emotions play in human psychology from watching Mr. Spock on Star Trek?

Emotions are a basic aspect of what constitutes our life.

I haven't added anything to what you said, you're just unable to grasp what follows from the statements you've made. What i wanted to do was point out how silly it is to deal with your own problems by groundlessly and needlessly dismissing others and their perceived problems, but it's clear you're not ready to see that despite it's blatant application in this case.

By not being able to experience things you wanted to do. Having regrets of not doing something.

For example, depression can keep someone from doing something they otherwise would have done.

Also, by being oppressed by circumstances out of your control such as living in poverty, destitution (such as a huge number of people living in places like Sub-Saharan African and parts of Asia and Latin America), living in a war zone, etc.

I really think that many people are just blinded by their own first world privilege and really don't understand just horrible life is for most humans on this planet. Not talking about you, lilykitty, but just speaking in general. It breaks my heart to see people so blind to the very real hardships of hundreds of millions of humans across the globe.

What you didn't end up doing was impossible in the first place.
