Being an evil Republican reverend doesn't disqualify you. Or did you mean your evil deeds don't leave time for being a staff member? :D

Being a staff member isn't as much fun as it sounds like. It's kind of like being the janitor at a nice hotel. You spend more time cleaning up other people's messes than relaxing at the pool. It really takes a lot of selfless dedication to keep at it for very long. You can't just come on when you want, read what you want, and say what you want. The only thing I miss about it is the ability to swat spammers at odd hours of the morning when there are no staff members online. :)

Being a staff member is actually pretty easy for me. I just get Nick to do all my work for me by buying him beer and flashing him every now and then.

Sorry for the tangent, y'all. You may go back to your regular programming.

Greetings

If I were not a man, I'd probably be a woman
If I were not a waiter, I'd probably be a nonworker
If I were not a human, I'd probably be a unicellular microbe

Oh right...
If I were not an atheist, I'd probably not know what the hell to do
If I were not a...(Insert my religion here), I'd probably be your average atheistic satanist...Or a neopagan of some sort...

GhK.

If I were not a Christian, I'd like to say that I'd be a Jew but knowing myself, I'd probably choose something similar to Wicca or nothing at all.

If I wasn't a "modern mystic", I'd be an atheist because no religion can contain my curiosity and I wouldn't be able to pretend they could for very long.

Oh I could not agree with you more. Believe it or not, I was a moderator of a pagan forum for several years. Yes, once upon a time I was a Pagan.

Friend katzpur,

If I were not a _________, I'd probably be a _________.

This is the root problem which few understands.
It is our minds that makes us do this or that. Mind creates the EGO to *Be someone* to be *this* or *that*.
All religions are only paths or ways to reach a certain place and once reached the paths or ways or religions are redundant.
One may not like many things about a particular path or way but when one starts a journey those uncertainties are always to be faced with one's presence of mind and not to be taken seriously as the only goal is to reach the place even the path chosen to travel turns out difficult. But ones the destination is reached one's understands why the person who had developed this path used all these hurdles.
Or one can always create his own path.
Love & rgds

If I weren't an atheist, I'd be an agnostic Quaker. Agnosticism makes sense from a purely philosophical/theoretical standpoint to me, so it wouldn't be a huge leap, and Quakers are just cool.

Actually, I may go Quaker again at some point just for grins.
