Interestingly, different translations for Genesis 1:14 has heavens OR sky.
I understand what you mean , but that does not change anything since there is earthly understanding and heavenly understanding.
Acts 1:11 say that Jesus was taken into heaven and the apostles were looking into the empty sky.
Sky is just reflection on something above,it's mirror in methaphorical sense
Where is the kingdom?
Matthew 13:33
He told them still another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough."
Luke 17:20-21
Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be
observed, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is in your midst."
The kingdom of God is in your heart!
Proverbs 4:23
"Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the
springs of life."
Isaiah 29:13
The Lord says:
"These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their
hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught."
Mark 7:6-8
"He replied, 'Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:These people honor me with their lips, but
their hearts are far from me.They worship me in vain;their teachings are merely human rules.'
You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions."
1 Corinthians 13:8-12
"Love never fails.
But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
Mark 1:15
"The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come
near. Repent and believe the good news!"
