I'm so sorry. That's awful. That's certainly not the God I experience. He would never want His children to experience such things. Evangelical Christianity and the extremes of Catholicism can be so nasty. Christianity was supposed to be about compassion and mercy.

No, countless people love war, they love to cause dissention and factions, and are entirely apathetic towards other people's sufferings and short comings.
Many people are absolutely despicable, and deserve to be ostracized until they learn how to treat others as themselves.

I disagree. I feel that we are prone to make mistakes, but God is merciful, and will always lead us back to the right path if we seek it.

Showing contempt won't help. In some cases, it makes it worse. We need more warm-hearted people in this world.

I've not done anything in regards to my own transition on a whim, or confused mental state. I know who I am. And it's for health reasons that include the mind as well, because I'd probably be dead now from the consequences of a very hated and depressed life had I not accepted myself and began my transition. I started on the path to drinking myself to death back then, and had I never accepted myself I may have finished the job by now.
