Is being gay a sin according to your religion?

Jesus in me approves the Bible but He does not have the Bible for His god.

It is true that Jesus does not say anything about Homosexaulity in the Bible so what He says to me is extra-biblical. It makes sense to me. If a person wishes to know, ask.

lolol so you hear the voice of Jesus in your head? And how exactly do you know you can trust yourself? Maybe you just have schizophrenic tendencies? Why would Jesus single you out and speak to you directly? Why are you more important than any other human being? What makes sense to me is that you're imagining this in an arrogant attempt to feel like you're more special than any other person, or you're delusional.

Abrahamics almost never care about being gay. It's having gay sex that sends them running to Scripture looking for a reason to believe that God is also grossed out.

Hi Columbus;3860113, since you are online I would like to share my church stance on this topic.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is against same sex attraction and same sex marriage. I believe God is the author of the definition of marriage. In Genesis Chapters two and three. Adam was created and God said it is not good for man to be alone so He created an help meet. He called her Eve (The Mother of all living). God married Adam and Eve and when they left the garden they had children. This Is where it starts and ends with me.

I have two dear friends that are engaged in same sex marriage. I love them both very much. I do not believe in hate, bullying or using disparaging words toward all those of same sex attraction.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Greetings Norman. Welcome to RF!

I'm quite aware of what LDS and most other denominations teach.

To me, it's solid evidence that they are wrong about many important things. I understand that ancient people held these beliefs. But they are still just plain wrong.

A clear eyed look at the reality of the human situation will show anybody that the primitive beliefs of the olden days were not delivered by God but invented by human beings.

Thank you Tom for your response to my post. I respect your views.

We cannot afford to be arrogant or self-righteous. It is our obligation to reach out in helpfulness, not only to our own but to all others as well. (Gordon B. Hinckley; President and Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.)

Big Queer Chesticles!
Well, gay people tend to live gay lifestyles, which is a sin in any bible I've read.

You know...I have been out of the closed for around 2 years now and I still have not figured out what this supposed lifestyle is meant to be. Do we special houses or something?

Doing the naughty with a person of the same sex without the decency to hide it from your family, friends, and followers (for all those upstanding gay preachers out there that choose to remain anonymous).

Well surely doing the dirty in private without announcing it should count.

There's nothing specifically forbidden about homosexuality within Hinduism, but Indian culture in general tends to be very conservative.
