Is being gay a sin according to your religion?

homosexuality.
Here is a perspective for you.
This should be fun.

To start i would like to state the obvious.

Is it me or does it seem as if the world runs by putting positive and negative together?
The world is made of opposites and contrast.

Try turning the contrast all the way down or up on your computer.
If you can tolerate that then try this.
Re-wire your house all positive or all negative.
If that works i would like to see it.

My point is that homosexuality is in complete contrast to what seems to work, positive and negative, male and female coming together in harmony to produce something else.

Homosexuality in the world is contrast.

Having said all of that:
I understand that it is a necessary part of life as is every other perspective.
But perspective is just that, perspective, it is not the whole picture.

Life exists on a spectrum, not blunt dualisms.

Contrast is not dualism.
I would agree.
the spectrum of perspectives is endless.

You are proposing a dualism of male/female. It's not as simple as that. Masculine and feminine energies can manifest in a variety of bodies and human sexual behavior is highly diverse, as well.

there seems to be a misunderstanding.
I do not disagree with you.

If what you say were not true there would be no contrast.
It is the clash of the opposites that allow us to learn and grow.
So dualism is real (male/female), it is just spread out on the spectrum of life as you said.

I am talking about spiritual growth.
Like we are doing here.
This conversation is full of contrast.
I am learning some things about myself in the process.

Okay then. I interpreted your statement to mean reproduction. My apologies. Now my question is, why can't a relationship between two men or two women bring about spiritual growth?

I guess i can be confusing.
So here i go again.

Everyone makes some progress in life.
It is the school of hard knocks however for most.
The contrast cannot be avoided.

Better question: is there such a thing as a phenomena that doesn't result in growth or change? No need to make it specific to relationships here, in my mind. :D

I think the answer to that is no. Everything changes us. Having or not having a relationship with something changes how our lives operate in very apparent ways. A time investment, at a minimum.

It certainly doesn't seem to fit in with how the rest of the world works.

I have to be clear about this.
Again another paradox.
The world runs on the coming together of opposites and the balance of contrast.
Homosexuality is a necessary part of life.
Male and female aren't "opposite," though. They are complimentary. And sexuality runs a lot deeper than outward, physical appearance. I think you're looking at this a little too two-dimensionally and a little black-and-white. The world is chock full of "grey area."
