Actually the adventist church started some 40 yrs later, and the founding members were from all faiths and denominations- although Jehovah's Witness- Church of Christ and more than 20 other religions, came out of what was known as "The Great Disappointment". In which William Miller was the American Leader of the movement, however the movement was world wide.(people came to the same conclusion in different parts of the world unawares)

Can anyone prove that Bible prophesy is not reliable?

Not likely to you. Whether something is "reliable" is a thought form - a judgment. It isn't susceptible to "proof."

Just like you can't prove the prophecies of Nostradamus aren't reliable to someone who thinks they are, or that "unidentified flying objects" aren't actually aliens from distant galaxies here to study us and slowly share with us their incredible technology, or that King Halie Selassie of Ethiopia was not a human manifestation and physical incarnation of "God."

Lets start there.
Ok... why that Canon?

What insight does your faith give you that all the other Canons of Scripture are wrong.... maybe the Books your KJV is missing might change your theology.... before I listen (or anyone for that matter) about how you interpret the Bible, you should be able to explain WHY you have faith in that particular canon of Scripture.

The Bible tells us how to test prophesy.
When you have greed in mind, of course you will make sure all your tracks are covered. Keep things as consistent as possible, make self proving references, take advantage of primitive minds, and scare people with eternal fire to get them to give you money.
Fear tactics are quite a good marketing strategy. Another reason the Bible is highly unreliable.

So by what method do you prove or test truth? or has truth been reduced to conform- so to speak to various situations. God does not change - God is truth- according to the KJV Bible

Well I know none of you are scientist, you have no method or standard of testing truth

We have several scientists here actually.

Science just isn't the proper method for testing prophecy, religious or otherwise. Nor is science interested in testing "religious truth", as no such thing exists.

Is Bible Prophesy realible? Are we really living in the Last Days?
make no mistake about it , bible prophecy really is realible , and yes we really are living in the last days , and have been living in the last days since 1914 , and yes 1914 is a very significant date , inline with bible prophecy and chronology. and now bible prophecy is well along , and Jesus is a reigning king in the heavenly kingdom goverment Daniel 2;44 Daniel 7;13-14
(Ezekiel 21:26, 27) yes , the one with the legal right to the kingship is now a ruling king with great aurthority ,and we are living in the PRESENCE of this ruling king . its all happening in this the last days . and the GOODNEWS about this heavenly kingdom with Jesus as a ruling king is being made known matthew 24;14 on a global scale , and those who respond to this Goodnews, will become part of a GREAT CROWD from all nations welcoming this newly enthroned king , revelation 7;9-10 and this great crowd also recognise that the one on the throne gave Jesus great aurthority , and this one on the throne is the most high psalm 83;18. yes the symbolic palm branches are being waved to welcome this king of Gods kingdom........... so bible prophecy ALLWAYS comes true , and it is .

**Who will speak against the Most High, and oppress the saints?
**Who will try to 'change times and laws'?
**What is 'time, time and half a time'?
Jehovah has granted insight into such matters to his anointed servants on earth, to "the holy ones of the Supreme One," as they are called at Daniel 7:18. Moreover, "the faithful and discreet slave" has made provision for us to gain further insight into the inspired writings of the prophet Daniel. (Matthew 24:45) This is now available through the recent release of the book Pay Attention to Daniel’s Prophecy! This beautifully illustrated 320-page publication covers every part of the book of Daniel. It deals with each faith-building prophecy and every narrative recorded by the beloved prophet Daniel...................And yes , it is published by Jehovahs witnesses ,going to the right channel leads to great understanding espesially in the last days Daniel 12;4 dont let others stop you from gaining accurate knowledge . because believe me there is great opposition to the channel Jesus is directing matthew 24;45-47 but of cause that is to be expected as all true christians are aware .

Many of us are, however, quite adept at noticing sloppy evasion. Please answer Scott's question, after which I would love to chat with you about "the first five books at least".
