Is it wrong to advocate homosexuality as a sin?

Try.

We are actually very intelligent.
Of course, it's obvious -you are extremely intelligent. The bible and religion condemns the acts of homosexuality, if i start talking about God and bible you would tell me about science and trash the theory about God and religion which would then be a waste of time to begin. So wouldn't it be better to let's just look at it from a natural perspective?

Really? Then who did you conclude this:
Ok, i take that back, i do discriminate (in the meaning of the term) but i do not disrespect.

Actually the great masses of non-religious people don't have a problem with it. So you want to dictate what I should teach my kids? If every man has the right to choose his own life, then isn't that what we should teach the future generation?
To become a homosexual -NO. Teach the boys to find a girl, and the girls to find a boy, that is the best way to begin. If somewhere along the line the boy starts to feel like a girl and wants to find him a boy to get active with then you can't hate him, but you can talk with him if you care for him to be a man -the way he was naturally born to be.

Then why did you bring up rape in this context?
Are you sure? What if it's anal rape; does that change your answer?
How is she going to do that?
But according to your logic, because some men do, we should oppose heterosexuality, right? Otherwise why did you bring up homosexual rape (which is relatively rare compared to heterosexual rape) in this discussion?
Because it's normal to be inclined to the opposite sex.

From a natural perspective?

From a natural perspective, for those who assert a Biblical religious perspective there is the issue of why homosexuals and intersex exist in the first place. There is nothing to indicate that homosexuality is a choice and there is no debate that intersex is not a choice. If these are abominations and sinful then they are so because God made them that way. This is the only logical conclusion from a natural perspective. Heck, chromosomal structure is not even a guaruntee of sex determination.

One could try to attribute it to "The Fall" but that assertion does not take into account that the sex of a human being and the hormone development which appears more and more to be the determinant in developing sexuality have nothing to do with free will. Last I checked there were no sins created by God. Which would lead to a Biblical contradiction.

Or the more logical conclusion is that the people who wrote the Bible were terribly ignorant and closed, where it should be noted that not all cultures were, regarding human sexuality thus the sinful aspect of homosexuality is nothing more then the expression of cultural bigotry. That or one could conclude God acts illogically and thus is not perfect.

No, not to become a homosexual, that's silly. To be what you were naturally born to be and be honest about it, and to live it with fidelity and integrity. If naturally born to be striaight, be a non-expoititive, respectful heterosexual man. If naturally born to be gay, to be an honest, self-respecting gay man.

And apparently girls don't matter in HoI's world.

How is she going to do that?
Hard to correct you naivete without being too graphic.

Now would you like to answer the question?

Because it's normal to be inclined to the opposite sex.
Normal for some, not for others. Again, what does any of this have to do with rape? If you're against rape, why not oppose that? Why oppose consensual homosexuality and and condone heterosexual rape?

To be left-handed or the other way around isn't something one can simply decide to choose. Homosexuality is the way of life one would simply choose to live, so it isn't the same at all storm.

If you don't believe in God or religion, it is pointless discussing anything from that perspective.

Really, a choice? Could you tell me when ( I will accept a range of +/- 3 YEARS) you chose your sexual orientation? The ONLY thing I chose about my orientation was to be honest with myself and others. I would point out that for all it touts honesty as a virtue, the christian religion I left in 1986 sure encourages some of its members to LIE a lot. And it seems that honesty is not particularly valued when trying to force a particularly religious point of view onto secular law. From the deep dim recesses of memory to which I banished my southern baptist experiences I seem to recall something about rendering unto Caesar and all of that. I also recall that Paul was particularly big on claiming that all governmental authority supposedly came from jehovah, and that christians were to accept that authority or burn.

Science has proved that homosexuality is NOT a choice. Same with people who are transgendered.

Of course person can CHOOSE to put hands over ears and refuse to listen scientific evidence.

For some earth is still flat, left handed deal with demons and twins are satan's children.

It is obvious you miss missed my whole point, those statements are wrong in my eyes, but it's all right.

I have tried so hard to be general on this subject matter, because i realize that the subject of God is not accepted or recognize by many people, why refer to people and their religious beliefs? quite frankly God did nothing ill to his subjects -society has. You can take religion out of the picture and homosexuality will still be unaccepted by great masses of people, in fact many many Christians practice homosexuality. I think every man has the right to choose what he wants to do with his own life, i just do not think it's right to allow our future generation to believe it's right to become a homosexual.

So, you feel that one has the right to do and choose what to do with one's own life, that is laudable, and I completely agree. Apparently we will be forced to disagree, because I feel that future generations have the right to choose and do what they want with their lives as well. I don't feel that forcing my offspring to lie to themselves, me, and others is a moral or acceptable action. I would have to say that the more moral action would be to accept those hypothetical offspring for who they were, not who I thought that I would wish them to be.

Homosexuality will be unaccepted by many people, yes, in large part because they aren't homosexual. You realize that homosexuality, for all the focus that it gets only occurs in about 10% of the population (I have heard numbers ranging from as high as 20% to as low as 1%, but I think realistically it is around 10%) right? Given the relatively low incidence of homosexuality in the general population, why do people who are so adamant that homosexuality will bring down:
1) God's holy judgement/Ragnarok/the end of time as measured by the Mayan Calendar etc etc etc
2) the complete downfall of America, Europe, human civilization as we know it
3) alien invasions
4) the end of humanity through a complete end of baby making
and 5) global warming/next ice age/hurricanes/earthquakes/dogs and cats living together
think this? Really, I had NO idea that the nice-looking-guy-behind-the-counter-at-Starbucks-that-asked-me-for-my-phone-number-and-made-googly-eyes-at-me was so cosmically powerful. Could someone please explain this to me? I really don't get how (or why) where I put my penis (it goes without saying that everyone involved is consenting and adult, if one has a difficult time understanding either concept, there isn't much hope for one) has any real impact on the survival of the nation, humanity or the status of my soul.

The bible and religion condemns the acts of homosexuality,...

You do realize that not everyone follows christianity, right? This particular statement should read "The bible and MY religion condemns the acts of homosexuality,..." Because not all religions, and not even all versions of christianity condemn homosexuality. Many religions don't speak to sexuality beyond condemning acts that are harmful or conducted without consent. The Gods of my religion included males that bore children AND fathered children, married members of the same sex, and practiced sex based magic, so please don't even imply that religion (as a whole) condemns much of anything.

Twins are satan's kids? Really? I had no idea. Any idea where that came from?
