Is it wrong to advocate homosexuality as a sin?

If gay marriage is legalized, all of our children will be converted to Gaydom and Satan will win!

...Sorry lol. I can never resist :D

I wonder if South Park is right and Satan is a homosexual. I wonder if Satan is very femanine. Does he dress in women's clothing? Does he wear heals?

(sorry if my stereotyping offends anybody. I don't intend it that way)

My mom use to tell me I wouldn't like certain foods. And recently I have discovered that I actually do like them.

That's interesting. Most straight people I know can't even begin to imagine being with someone of the same sex, as most gays I know don't want to think about being with someone of the opposite. Myself, the thought of being with a guy just kinda makes me think "eeewwww."
But, you can keep saying it is a choice all you want, but science will beg to differ. It has even been discovered that certain areas of a gay person's brain develops similiar to the opposite sex. It has been noted that a gay man's brain will show activity when presented with a stimulus that would get a straight female's brain going, and vice versa.

A culture is bigger then your mom.

Rape is rape i agree, but in my view raping someone of the same sex is taken more terribly because of sexual orientation.

Why?

How many men do you know who have been raped?

How many women? [Whether you know it or not, you know at least one, I promise you.) Maybe you should ask actual vicims whether they agree with you.

homosexuality is not beneficial, heterosexuality is

Kissing isn't beneficial and increases the risk and spread of herpes, seriously though, ignoring the fact that sexuality isn't something people choose for themselves, if the population has a significantly higher number of one gender doesn't homosexual pair bonding offer a benefit. Or are you going to volunteer for the lonely train to deathville.

6 billion people on the planet, projected to be 12-20 billion by 2050....

Overpopulation will be a real problem.

Given that such population expolosions will cause millions to die, from famine, pestilence and other wonderful things... all because people want to breed....

In light of this, I would say being a homosexual is far more beneficial.

Selfishness, and the need to breed....will, if population trends work (population change is already occuring, the population has increased by a billion already in my life time) be a great evil. All because people want only one orafice to be filled.

Or adoption. I feel that with so many kids needing a home, and the world with too many people as it is, more people should consider adoption first.

? Oh really? I'm a homosexual and I can tell you that my homosexuality is extremely beneficial. And there's a heck of a lot of heterosexuality out there that is extremely not beneficial, such as rape, pornography, prostitution, pedophilia, and unwanted children that heterosexuals fail to take care of.

Maybe you meant that homosexuality is not reproductive? So what?

Example of beneficial homosexuality.

Russell Peters standup comedy:

His dad: "This is wrong. Indian men should not be gay!"

Russell: "Erm, dad, we got a population crisis over there. We could use a couple of homos in India right now."

:D

As if the gays don't already know that homosexuality is considered a sin in the bible. Some people are just too closed off to realize that other humans have different ideas and beliefs that are just as respectable and as legit as their own, and they feel the need to push their ideologies onto them. In their mind there is only one way. In America the government's laws are set up to be based on logic, and to encompass people of all faiths. No practice or lifestyle that is harmless should be prejudiced against, and the people who live those lifestyles should have the same rights as anyone else. There is no logical reason to deny homosexuals the benefits that heterosexual couples have. Their reasoning for their lifestyle and their belief that god is probably fine with gays, is just as legit and has just as much founding as the belief that god hates gays. And that is why ideologies need to stay the hell away from the policies and laws of a government that grants acceptance and equality to people of all faiths and lifestyles.

People who protest against gay rights in America are trampling on the exact same rights that this country offers to them. It's despicable, and they're retards. Believe what you want, speak it to those who want to know more, but do not preach the rules of your god onto those who do not share the same ideas.

it depends on what one does with that belief.

i know plenty of Christians who feel deeply that homosexuality is sinful and wrong, and who are also able and happy to treat gay men and women with respect, courtesy, love, and normalcy.

others, however, project their feelings about the sin onto the person themselves, and can't help but be nasty, unkind, disrespectful, and insulting.

i don't actually expect a gay man or woman to *not* find the belief that their sexual orientation is wrong and sinful personally insulting and ridiculous. but to say that it is wrong to consider homosexuality wrong from a religious / spiritual perspective is to project one's feelings excessively onto another's freedom of conscience.

A very twisted perception, that somehow by being nice it is OK to spread prejudice.

The title of the thread says advocate; it does not say consider. Be a bigot for all I care, just keep it behind closed doors.

obviously, Jeremy, we're going to be seeing this differently.

Be a bigot for all I can just keep it behind closed doors.

not if someone asks me for my view on the matter.

why should people of faith who are opposed to homosexuality as being a spiritually correct mode of existence and identity have to keep quiet or keep their beliefs behind closed doors?

there is a big difference between stating what one believes, vs. cruelly or hatefully acting to hurt another person based on how they feel.

how fair is that in light of gay men and women no longer expecting their own freedom to live, date, identify, and even marry whomever they like to be shut behind closed doors because many find it offensive and wrong?
