To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance
. Only in Yahweh, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him. In Yahweh all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory." Isaiah 45:21-25

Please read 1 Corinthians 8:5-6. How do you harmonize this Scripture with Philippians 2:5-11? Doesn't the passage state that Jesus was exalted, and given the name? If he was God, he would have had it, already. Compare 1 Corinthians 11:3. Take care.

 Now I lay me down to sleep, I hope Mr Rock blesses me

I cannot believe you are taking that as a literal name instead of the allegory and metaphor it obviously is.

Does it say it was his name anywhere. His name was Yahweh, and it was mixed with Els attributed as well by the time this was written
I"m not talking it as a literal name.

Peter Wes named Rock.
Yahweh was named Rock.
Does this means Peter is named Yahweh? Certainly not.

I assume you believe that the church was built on Peter, just as the Roman Catholics do.

The Greek word for Peter is PETROS, which means "a pebble" or a small stone. It does not mean ROCK.

Peter was called a pebble or small stone in Mt. 16:18.

Jesus is called the PETRA in 1 Peter 2:8. It means ROCK.

And, "He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall..."

There is no comparison between Jesus who is called PETRA, the ROCK, and Peter, the PETROS, little pebble or stone. I am amazed you would suggest something so ridiculous.

A little research on your part would have shown you this simple truth. But I have learned that people like you don't want to know the truth. You prefer to stand by the lies you've been taught.

"Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." (John 8:24)

I do not bow to ancient mens powerless mythology.
Why do you think this is mythology? Do you really think we are an accident? Apostle Paul said in Romans that men are now with no excuse not to believe in God. They just have to look outside at His creation work. Are you afraid of something? You seem very hardcore about certain things. Or do you think, how can we believe in a God that we can see? Just curious.

Since you really dont believe in God, I'm just curious on why your even on this board.....

I have more of a passion for religion ten you do. Why are YOU on this board?

You have not even taken a credible class on the topic and I have years involved in my education.

Of that and I have lectured on some of these topics.

You mean why do I know its mythology ?

Do you SERIOUSLY think the bible is mythology free?
Ok, I"ll answer that... You have some things written symbolically too. Most literal though. Are you suggesting some of the people in scripture didnt really exist? LIke Abraham, Moses or Noah? Something like that? Not really sure what you mean....

Factually, not one of those people have any historicity as ever existing.

BUT NO, my question was do you think the bible has mythology in it?

Was the flood mythology?

Was the exodus mythology

Was Abraham really the father of monotheism for Israelite cultures?

Do I believe that there was a flood? Yes. And exodus, yes. Abraham, yes. He was the father of the Jewish people, though he wasnt Jewish himself, he was Hebrew and Shemite. There is evidence in archeology about the exodus, etc. Jesus and the Apostles even talk about things that happened in OT. Creation, Noah, Abraham.

I take it that you dont believe in creation?
