I am not as concerned about true Multiculturalism as I am about Islamification which is a wolf dressed up in sheep’s clothing.

Your opinion and rejected based on the facts.

Why can you not be honest and admit that it is terrorist fundimentalism that bugs you so much?

Wow. In searching on it, the Western world has been Christianicized for almost exactly one millennium, today.

Congratulations!

Islam is being introduced in the name of Multiculturalism. It would have been far more honest if our political leaders had called it Islamification instead of Multiculturalism.

This wasn't your premise in the beginning which is misleading.

@Notanumber you said:

"Have western leaders been using their citizens as human Guinea Pigs in a massive cultural experiment that has failed with disastrous consequences?"

You need to specify this more clearly if your aim is to talk about Muslims. Funny, Muslims in California, New York, and Michigan have no issues here. Because of Muslims and people from Muslim lands, I love hummus, falafel bread, lamb and other cuisines. I love to smoke Hookah even though I'm a non-smoker. I love tea (although I prefer long Island Iced Tea). So you see my friend, your bigotry is blinding you to the positives of multiculturalism.

Multiculturalism...always been a part of the American Dream, always will be.

Those who have concerns about having to learn to get along with people different from themselves can elect to disengage. But that shouldn't interfere with what the majority of us wants.

Some day soon in the U.S. either the Latino/a or the Blacks will be the new White (majority ethicity) and on that day I will be happy.

Also Islam is moving to become the third largest faith in the U.S. as I understand it. I see no threat in that.

Fundamentalism, along with xenophobia, is born and bred in environments overwhelmed with abuse and suffering. They are the products of Sodom and Gomorrah all around the world.

Is this the kind of culture that we want in the West?

How long will it be before western women are forced to wear the veil in order to feel safe in their own countries?

Never going to happen.

Do you have to change your culture to eat the meals?

Case reopened.

Idiotic post.

That made me LOL.

The point is that Sweden has stopped responding to or recording certain types of crime.

You should watch some Pat Condell videos for a knowledge update.

It seems the effectiveness and moral of the Swedish Police has been severely hampered. The lot seems like spineless cowards who are afraid to go into certain parts of their own country and protect their own people. That will only worsen unless drastic changes are made. I foresee a similar fate for the UK Police as well.

Pat Condell is an idiot.

And by extension.......

Please drop your Patrick McGoohan's avatar......you are just offering up idiotic simplifications.

It seems that no one can defend the Islamic ideology, all they can do is criticise anyone who finds that ideology offensive.

The only problem is Islam is that there are very few major motion pictures depicting Muhammed or other representatives of the Muslim faith to watch. Honestly, to someone foreign to a topic there is nothing like a good story with great special effects to serve as an introduction.

For the Bible we have The Ten Commandments and numerous movies about Jesus. The closest thing I have found is Spike Lee's Malcolm X based on Alex Haley's (awesome dictated autobiography) work.

I disagree it was some experiment inflicted upon a population.

Some of the issues today are due to relaxed vetting systems and low standards for entrance to a host nation.

The only people who would think so are xenophobes. The evidence is overwhelmingly clear that historical crimes by the empowered have not lead to a permanent state of injustice but rather the opposite. The principles of this and other countries have shown that with time culture can be transcended when it comes to politics and policy.

Besides the question is self-negating as it assumes that the Western Democracies are somehow more controlled by their leaders than they are by the people who elect them. That premise is deeply false.

Europe's problem isn't multiculturalism (Europe's always been multicultural to an extent) but with two different worldviews attempting to occupy the same space. One is theocratic and retrograde and the other is secular and progressive. They can't jive with each other. Only one can win.

Now true multiculturalism is people of various ethnicities living together with cultures that jive together. That's fine and dandy, but there still needs to be something that unifies them in order to make a true Nation. So I don't have a problem with multiculturalism as such, but I think there needs to be an overculture of sorts to unite everyone.

Kind of an open framework like the principles of democracy. Ironically many so called democratic patriots fear multiculturalism strongly.
