Is Quran copied from Jewish Bible/Torah? : Quran did not copy from Jewish Bible/Torah

A far more simpler explanation is that Jews have been living in Mecca and Medina for generations, and Christians have been travelling and preaching in and out of the Arabian peninsula for centuries.

The people of Mecca and Medina weren't cities living in isolation, so many of the better known biblical stories were known to them.

And the people didn't need to read to know the stories, because Christian missionaries often preach before listeners.

Not everyone could read and write.

To say that Muhammad didn't know stories of Adam, Abraham, David and Jesus, is a bit naive or ignorant.

And your "unbiased" sources that Jews lived in Mecca in time of Muhammad; and their population there.

Muhammad got revelation of Quran directly from G-d; Moses also got revelation from G-d;both having the same source; hence the similarities.

This is your opinion, one I do not agree with. I do not take the most incredible explanation to be true but the one which is most likely and corresponds to history.

Religion forms a part of a believer identity, as much as culture does. It is hard for many to remove the ideology from their views. They hold their religious ideology more important than anything else. So it is easier for me to assume this inability to challenge their bias is inherent within one's identity until proven otherwise. This way I am surprised by those that do challenge their bias rather than surprised when they do not.

They lived in Medina and surrounding settlements. Even Islamic sources show there was interacting with this people and Muslims. No need for Jewish tribes to be in Mecca itself when they are present in Arabia to the north, south and east.

Paarsurrey seemed to believe that Muhammad was living in complete isolation.

If we are to believe in his biography of his early life, he had travelled to Syria, with his uncle. What is the chance of him going there, and not meeting a single preacher during his uncle's business?

And people often come and go, in Mecca, to trade, not just to convert people, so people are about to hear stories from the Jews and Christians, and you don't need to read to know about them.

That's why I think the narratives of biblical figures in the Qur'an, so incomplete with disjointed and inconsistent mishmash stories. It is clearly why I had so much trouble with reading the Qur'an. He relied so much in remembering biblical stories and laws that the Qur'an read like ones, whose education exclude reading/writing, and of poorly research mind, and that would explain the inconsistencies of the Qur'an.

I find paarsurrey's persistent ignorance and use of propaganda, is that he has no desires for unbiased truth.

I give below a Chapter from Quran:

The Holy Quran : Chapter 101: Al-Qari`ah

[101:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[101:2] The great Calamity!
[101:3] What is the great Calamity?
[101:4] And what should make thee know what the great Calamity is?
[101:5] The day when mankind will be like scattered moths,
[101:6] And the mountains will be like carded wool.
[101:7] Then, as for him whose scales are heavy,
[101:8] He will have a pleasant life.
[101:9] But as for him whose scales are light,
[101:10] Hell will be his nursing mother.

The Holy Quran Arabic text with Translation in English text and Search Engine - Al Islam Online

Please prove that this chapter has been copied/plagiarized/adapted from Jewish Bible/Torah or any other religious scripture in the world.

Can one, please?

If one cannot; then one testifies that Quran has not been copied/plagiarized/adapted from Jewish Bible/Torah or from any other book existing in the world.

Quran is original and authored by God; as it claims.

Rubbish.

You do not get to steer the debate into dishonest methodology.

Your books were plagiarized period.

Then go ahead and prove that the chapters I have quoted from Quran in this thread and prove that these were copied/plagiarized/adapted from Jewish Bible/Torah or from any other book existing in the world.

One cannot prove it ; so that verifies that Quran is original and authored by God; as it claims.

You need to test the questionable verses against the torah and other sources for originality. Now if your just saying torah is from god well lots of people believe that. Pointing to an original part to ask if the whole thing is original is dishonest.

Why dont you stop with the nonesense

No one said they scribes copied the whole book, or copied the book word for word.

You have been told this numerous times, do you have severe comprehensive issues meaning you have little to no intellect?????

Is there a reason why you do not understand a statements written so simply, a child in grade school can understand?

What is your problem here?

I am posting chapters; except the first chapter, in the reverse order; in a system:

101. Al-Qari`ah
102. Al-Takathur
103. Al-`Asr
104. Al-Humazah
105. Al-Fil
106. Al-Quraish
107. Al-Ma`un
108. Al-Kauthar
109. Al-Kafirun
110. Al-Nasr
111. Al-Lahab
112. Al-Ikhlas
113. Al-Falaq
114. Al-Nas
1. Al-Fatihah

These chapters are short and would be convenient for others to check and verify from Torah.

So far; no one could prove that any verse in them has been copied/plagiarized/adapted from Torah or any other book in the world.

That is the reasonable way.

If one differs with me; one could start quoting the other way; from chapter No.1 to the last chapter No. 114, at least ten verses of the second chapter; then next ten verses; then next ten verses, so on and so forth till the chapter ends. Then next chapter No.3, likewise.

Then prove your viewpoint.

I have no objection.

Again nobody is saying 114 chapters are plagiarized. Just majority of the theology and stories borrowed from other religions.

does it make it less legit or can it simply be the proof that there is one god and so one source for all those religions as claimed in quran also?

Quran and bible can both be inspired by god but they sometimes conflict on the attributes of god, so sometimes one text or the other will be wrong. Hard to tell which, quran denies god would ever have a son or share his glory.

One can also draw a connect between elements of Islam stories with Christians stories held by minorities branded heretic. These groups were pushed out of the area by mainstream Christianity of it's time. The idea that Christ didn't die has roots in these versions of Christianity well before Islam. So the case may be not that the stores were not remembered properly but rather the source of stories is not linked with mainstream Christianity of it's time or what we see today.

there is a reason why these books had to be repeated or only one book would be enough. yes, quran says there is no son or daughter to god, just as god cant have a mother or father which ought to be more experienced gods comparing to god because of their parenthood status. also when you have a parent it means you came 'later' which implies both parent and son gods are within time and bound by it, time owns both of them. while in quran god is the owner of anything and everything. so yes there is just one god according to quran and quran talks about that mistake indicating that god didnt have a son.

When someone does not have the intellect to debate, ignores and refuses to reason, one needs to be made aware this is not proper conduct for a debate forum.

My ignore list is larger then I am on others, and I enjoy when people with no ability to reason place me there before I place them on mine.

Education and truth can be a tough pill to swallow, you seem to do your share of avoiding these.
