Is Satan really evil

Lucifer has no place in the Abrahamic paradigm, he is not Satan and/or Devil. The word Lucifer is found in only one place in the Christian bible ‑‑ Isaiah 14:12 ‑‑ but only in the King James and related versions: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning?"

The King James Version is based on the Vulgate, the Latin translation of Jerome. Jerome translated the Hebrew helel (bright or brilliant one) as "Lucifer," which was a reasonable Latin equivalent. The association is clearly in regards to the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and is in reference to the Morning Star which is a title that Jesus uses for himself as well.

Revelation 22:16: "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
I believe the word appears 4 times in the vulgat yes, including John the Baptist being called hylal as well.

Isaiah 14:12 is not the only place where the Vulgate uses the word lucifer. It uses the same word four more times, in contexts where it clearly has no reference to a fallen angel: 2 Peter 1:19 (meaning "morning star"), Job 11:17 ("the light of the morning"), Job 38:32 ("the signs of the zodiac") and Psalms 110:3 ("the dawn").[46] To speak of the morning star, lucifer is not the only expression that the Vulgate uses: three times it uses stella matutina: Sirach 50:6 (referring to the actual morning star), and Revelation 2:28 (of uncertain reference) and 22:16 (referring to Jesus).

Indications that in Christian tradition the Latin word Lucifer, unlike the English word, did not necessarily call a fallen angel to mind exist also outside the text of the Vulgate. Two bishops bore that name: Saint Lucifer of Cagliari, and Lucifer of Siena.

The word lucifer is being used as a title, it is not in reference to the Roman deity

Why was the pagan God Pan who was worshipped image stolen by Christians and became the new face of evil. Satan.
"And this greedy (or aversive, or deluded) person, overcome by greed (or aversion, or delusion) his mind possessed by greed (or aversion, or delusion) kills living beings, takes what is not given, goes after another person's wife, tells lies, and induces others to do likewise, all of which is for long-term harm & suffering."

yes!! God will very soon defeat satan and all evil for all eternity. The *Devil had caused them to believe him. He had told them what is not true. So God threw the *Devil into that same lake of fire and *sulphur. It was that same lake where the *Lord had already thrown the strange animal and the false *prophet. The fire there will cause them a lot of pain and trouble all day and all night. It will never finish. Revelation 20

What gives you the idea that this 'bible' is the correct story and not some other bible?

Provide sources.
See my profile page. I try to speak (and educate) mainly out of my own experiences. In this thread I tried to answer OP's question by giving insight on how things are arranged at the 'third' level since that was imo in this case the best way to give a comprehensive answer.
