Is Sponge-Bob Square Pants a 'gay' symbol?

Nanda

Never seen any SpongeBob cartoons..

Is this true ??

Not a lick of truth. He corrects himself a bit later in the thread.

Forgive me of my passive ignorance. Ignore my past post concerning the "gay Sponge Bob", upon watching the video, which i should've done in the first place, i discovered that it has nothing to do with any homosexual agenda. I am ashamed at these "Christians" who make up things to attack Homosexuals with.....I am sorry. Although i agree that it is a sin, this video has nothing to do with it....

No, it isn't true.
Well, just read his other posts and if there are those who think it's a part of some type of movement, then there must be something they saw in the SpongeBob writings that caught their attention..

Terms like "diversity" among families would be something that would suggest same sex parenting as acceptable or appropriate and part of their "hidden" agenda..

I think if we researched this more thoroughly/closely we would find that the writers behind this character have a very cleverly "hidden" agenda.

Or they just like a good-old-fashioned witch hunt. Did you watch the video?

No, not yet, was just watching some other sick and dimmented cartoon, the picture in your signature reminded me of, which promotes violence and unhealthy lifestyles (sorry no offense, not referring to your pic, but a similar cartoon character called "the ugly one")..

Homestarrunner is now promoting an 'unhealthy' lifestyle? It is comedy, not a self-help website. Honestly, to think a satirical website aimed at high school/college students has a 'hidden agenda' is ridiculous.

Some people have a psychological need to see hidden agendas in everything.

Homosexuality in most cultures is looked down upon.
Interestingly enough, at one time women owning land or being able to vote was also looked down upon by the majority.

To teach children that it is all right to be gay, by showing it on TV, would be to upset a great majority of society.
As did those very few who fought to allow women the right to own land and vote.

No homosexual culture would exist today if homosexuality was widely practiced in it over time, the world today would not be, if long ago the Homosexual agenda was preached and accepted by the whole of society.
Huh?
This sounds like a "either all people are homosexual or all people are heterosexual" absolutionist argument.
Pretending that something is not going on, does not mean that it isn't.

Christians issue gay warning on SpongeBob video

"The nonprofit We Are Family Foundation -- says the video is designed to encourage tolerance and diversity."

"A short step beneath the surface reveals that one of the differences being celebrated is homosexuality," wrote Ed Vitagliano in an article for the American Family Association."

I'm not offended to be compared to Homestar, I adore him. And if you think Homestar is "sick and demented," you'd really hate my comic anyway. It has unapologetic homosexuals.

It's funny, but sick at the same time..

Nice trick, which allows that which is abnormal to be accepted as normal..

Nice, confuse the issue.

Confusion is another nice trick, originating from the "author of confusion"

1 Corinthians 14: 33

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Hmmm.
So then it was the "author of confusion" who caused the chaos at the Tower of Babel?
Though I think that this would likely cause off topicness.
Perhaps it is better discussed in its own thread...?

You're basically calling God, Christ and all Christians who believe homosexuality to be wrong, bigots...

Extremely hateful word...

If the shoe fits.

Incidentally, I'm not calling God anything, because I don't believe he exists.

It's a fair question. The confusion comes of using words without thinking about what they mean. Though this is the second time today I've been called an agent of Satan, once by an Evangelical and once by a LDS!

Now that's what I call confusing!:D

No, sir, the confusion results from the sloppy use of language.
