Is the United States just not mature enough to deal with radical fringe madness?

I think the US left what it used to be when they threw God out of the marketplace, education and media mountains of influence.

I think it will return with another awakening..

Throwing out dangerous, violent, and bigoted autocrats is never a bad idea.

The awakening will come with accepting the death of God in this culture.

There are so many literally delusional cultists bringing the world's once-most-powerful nation into disrepute around the civilized world. When I was growing up (in the 1960s, 70s and 80s) the nation could always manage to cope -- to deal with the radical fringe, to cope with the loonies, to hold elections that were solidly accepted.
It reveals that there remain hidden wounds from past wars and from past wrongs. The nation has not yet completely unified. It is a big place. In our lifetime we have seen the introduction of personal computers and public networks. This is bringing very rapid change, and it is hard to cope with. I am not surprised that there are many delusional people. I imagine wurls and choppy water when I think of this. I think of confused and angry people who feel momentarily helpless or tired.

Whatever happened to life being the same? It used to be that people would live the same way for many decades. Now everything completely changes every few years.

Whenever politictions supported them.
We are talking about rioters and terrorists here. Try again.

By the way, it is as ignorant to call everyone that you disagree with as a "socialist" is the same as some lefty loon calling everyone that he disagrees with a "fascist". Don't do it. It makes you look far less intelligent than you are. Even worse is calling someone a "Marxist". Now you are doing the same as calling someone a "Nazi". You are far too intelligent to use such bad debating tactics. I know you. I know that you can do better.

I can understand that you disagree with the BLM movement. I had a problem with the rioters too. It was a mistake by the Democrats to not take exception to the rioters. It was an even larger mistake by the Republicans to not publicly denounce the rioters and to not openly state that Trump lost, loud and clear. There are quite a few people in the middle in the US that are neither Republican nor Democrat and they remember these failures. We did not see a "Blue Wave" in Congress in the last election because people saw that Trump was unfit but they were worried about the riots etc. so they did not vote the same way for Congress. In this election. one where the Republicans should have made substantial gains due to it being midterm and the turndown in the economy that arose from Covid19 costs and the war in the Ukraine it looks as if there may be a possible blue wave instead due to the Supreme Court overstepping its bounds and the more conservative judges being exposed as liars. At least about their statements on Roe v Wade when they were nominated. And once again a lot of that is coming from the vast middle.

Politicians sometimes drink too much of the Kool Aid of their party. Elections are frequent wake up calls.

Why don't we start with forcing evs on people?
That is the next step after forced birth.

Oh wait, republicans don't believe in climate change, only that women don't have rights over their bodies. So force those births and burn, baby, burn. The planet won't be livable for those new babies, but they don't care.

Unless your living under a rock, as you obviously don't apparently have any knowledge of Democrats being pushy and acting like they know what's best to a point they have to force things on every one that you actually need examples for.
Like forcing policies to help save the planet, and women's reproductive rights, and healthcare access, and lower drug costs, keeping guns out of the hands of troubled people, more internet access, etc. Just terrible what democrats are doing.

Republicans will let society collapse before they give in to realizing their do-nothing policies are dangerous. No healthcare expansion, no reduction in fossil fuel use, few limits on gun access, forced birth for women, anti-immigration policies that breaks federal and international laws, unlimited money in politics, and so on.

We can all see what republican "freedom" looks like.

I thought it was a good reply from the characterization that was made of mine. IMV
How? How in the hell did you think that when everybody else sees clear as day you were way out of line with that one? Neither of you are new members and you have no valid excuse.

The nation has to stop being busybody authoritarians like the Democrats are when they push and force people to buy things they don't want, tell people what they can and cannot say, what they can and cannot buy , tell them what they can and cannot wear etc.....

And the right doesn't????o_O

They do. Your right. But Democrats are far far more prone in engaging in this than the right is.

I think its in the best interest for the country that both aisles cease and desist in this behavior and practice before it gets anymore out of control than it already is.

This appears not to be the case any more. Seriously! You can't get your insurrections under control. Your criminals, at the highest level, regularly defeat your law enforcement. Trump wins everything he touches, and will never be punished -- and the "law and order nation," the "country of laws," can't do anything at all to stop it.

How did the nation so impoverish its own sense of itself, and its status as the rational leader of the world? Because it is lost. Your own Department of Justice can't hold an obvious criminal to account, and can't seem to figure our how to do it.

What happened? Where did the America I knew go?

And can it ever come back? (For myself, I now seriously doubt it.)

Please rest assured, since the D.O/J. has recorded indisputable photographic evidence of Trump's mishandling of top-secret documents misplaced in his office at Mar-A-Lago, we should expect Trump to be legally convicted of mishandling government documents thereby lawfully prohibiting him from being the P,O.T,U.S..

It was when the fringe, hypocritical Left became mainstream and began a campaign to vilify anyone who disagrees with their worldview.

Sometimes the Left gets caught in their schemes.

Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith pleaded guilty to one count of making a false statement on Wednesday, admitting he doctored an email that was submitted to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court as part of a FISA application used to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page during the FBI's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Clinesmith, 38, worked for four years as an assistant general counsel in the National Security and Cyber Law branch at the FBI. In December 2019, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz concluded that Clinesmith had altered a CIA email cited in the fourth application to the FISA court to surveil.

Sleaze bags on the Left have been trying to stop ding-dong Trump and it just keeps backfiring on them! Raiding Trumps home to get some documents that he had access to as president was just so stupid!

Look everybody, the President took some papers home with him when he left office! Oh dear! Put him in prison!

The Left is notorious around the world for dreaming up reasons to imprison its political enemies.
