Is there an afterlife? / The ultimate goal for man

I personally believe there is and that this life has a point and isn't just about growing and growing and growing only one day to be toppled into non existence.

In my studies I have learned that Hindus believe that the ultimate goal for man to achieve is to break the cycle of reincarnation and cease to exist, while for a great many others it is the ultimate goal to live forever. What do you think the ultimate goal is for man?

Life is forever, whether you like it or not. Hence ultumate goal is eternal , infinite and irreversible Elation.

I didn't know there were any Jains on RF. I would like to hear an expanded version of you answer. I have read a lot about Jainism, but it's hard to grasp sometimes.

You are rather adept at mental gymnastics.

God cannot be all powerful if he cannot lie.

Nice try though.

You limit god when you claim god cannot lie.

Gods authority is limited to those who allow him to have authority over them.

Does God have authority over Satan? Yes, which is why when God commands Satan to leave, Satan leaves.
When God says you go to Heaven, you go to Heaven and when he says you go to hell you go to hell, no arguing about it.
God definitely has authority over all the universe.

God doesn't though have control over EVIL, so your paradise is a fantasy. Sorry
BTW god must be evil if god is infinite.

Except for the fact that god himself has not done anything.
It is always gods followers who do the doing.

So like I said, god only has authority over those who give him authority over them.
Unfortunately for you and your god, your giving your god authority over everyone does not give god authority over any but those who consent to your authority.
and even here, it is not god doing a damn thing...it is gods followers doing the doing.
