Islam rejects meritocracies?

@Ya'quub Walaykum, brother. I never said it does not contain politics. He said that Islam is politics, however that is not the complete foundation of it,

Ya'quub said:
Islaam is everything, a complete way of life, so surely that includes politics?

While I disagree with many of the ideas in Islam, I totally agree with Ya'quub that Islam claims to be a complete way of life.

So if it's okay for a person to say that "Islam is a religion", then surely it's okay for me to say that "Islam is politics".

Hi firedragon,

Thanks for that list. Now if I find passages in the Quran that say the opposite of something on your list, how should I decide which one is correct?

@Ya'quub Do you have a problem with comprehending? I said if they actually know the true meaning and still object they are merely being arrogant. I never called people who make wrong interpretations arrogant, it is when they actually know the truth and refuse to believe it after. You do not understand what i am saying. And do not make misconceptions on what i say after this comment. I am calling those who are arrogant.

@icehorse Exactly those are people. I already know Islam is a way of life because of the fact that it is true. So, you still cannot say Islam is politics since it is a complete way of life. Merely calling it politics is absurd.

There is a serious danger there. One who believes that another person knows the truth and refuses to believe it may very easily end up falling into arrogance. And it is entirely possible for people to misjudge others on such matters.

PS. What is a troll here?

Jabar is accusing you of pretending to be a Muslim in order to wind people up, to spread false information or whatever. Actually in this case I suspect he's calling you a troll (and questioning your claim to be a Muslim) simply because you're disagreeing with him

@icehorse Both are, if they prove they are. The way they prove that is if everything is clear to them and they still object after knowing the truth in what i believe.

@A Greased Scotsman I never accused him of pretending he is Muslim, i asked him a question because of the what i thought he was. Of course, i did not say this was absolutely true. I was merely skeptical because of his actions on the forum. Does not mean i accuse him of a troll.

Wonder why I was expecting someone to post a link that has a list?

Is it at all surprising that a book that is supposed to be the perfect word of God is examined with attention for contradictions?

Easy, no need to analyse, but you must not accept, thus, just show a link to a hate site.

Well done.

Edit.

Nevertheless, which one of this list is opposing which one in the list I provided?

The "x is a hate site" excuse has grown very stale.

You can't expect to deserve a lot of respect and attention if you reserve yourself the right to disregard any criticisms quite so gratuitously.
