Hamas Executes Gaza Residents for Helping Israel

by Hana Levi Julian

(IsraelNN.com) The Hamas terrorist organization has reportedly executed several Gaza residents accused of passing information to Israel. The victims were accused of helping the IAF conduct air strikes and IDF ground forces carry out assassinations in Gaza.

Among those killed were three brothers, all of whom were executed in public. A fourth brother was murdered by Hamas supporters earlier in the week after they escaped a prison run by the guerrilla group.

A total of six Gaza residents were executed by Hamas since last week, all of whom were accused of being collaborators. A spokesman for Hamas said that all of those who were killed had confessed to the charges against them.

Gaza Terrorists Forcing Residents at Gunpoint to Face IDF

"Hamas has no regard for human life," IDF Major Peter Lerner, head of Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) told Israel National News.

"We have had reports of Palestinians being held at gunpoint in order to put them at the front, in order to increase the number of Palestinian casualties on the Gaza side," Lerner said. "Hamas is doing it all the time."

According to intelligence reports, he added, the terrorists are stopping Gaza residents from evacuating their homes in order to flee the fighting. "Hamas is not letting them go," he said. "They want to increase the numbers of wounded and dead Palestinians for the cameras."

IDF Warned Residents to Flee Combat Areas

Israel made a special effort before beginning ground operations to warn residents to get out of the way and move to safer areas in order to reduce the number of civilian casualties.

The IDF made some 90,000 cell phone calls to Gaza residents, broadcasting a warning message in Arabic to let them know that military forces were approaching their area.

Flyers written in Arabic were also dropped on targeted areas of conflict as well prior to operations, telling residents to leave the area because Israeli forces were planning to attack terrorist targets in the neighborhood.

Hamas Guerrillas Stealing Humanitarian Aid

Hamas terrorists have also been stealing the food, medical supplies, medicines and other items shipped into Gaza for the impoverished residents by international aid organizations.

At least two convoys of aid trucks were hijacked by Hamas terrorists in the past several days, one carrying fuel and the other carrying basic food commodities and medical supplies. The trucks were seized by Hamas and allied terrorist forces as they entered Gaza through the Kerem Shalom Crossing.

Sources have said that Hamas takes a cut of all international aid that arrives in Gaza through the crossings. Supplies that are not kept are sold to the residents that were meant to receive them for free, in order to raise money for Hamas terrorist operations.

According to Lerner, some 49 truckloads of humanitarian aid entered Gaza on Tuesday. Kerem Shalom has the capacity to process a total of 100 truckloads of supplies per day, he explained. "We usually work during daylight hours; from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. we load and offload the supplies on to the Palestinian side. That is the amount of time it takes to load 100 trucks." He noted that security concerns had prevented the transfer of supplies on Sunday, but that hundreds of truckloads of aid had been delivered the week before.

Apparently, the information in the quoted paragraph doesn't exist except in IsraelNN, which is an israelian website obviously!

If there is one thing I'm certain of, that would be that Hamas would neve committ to such an act, of using human shields...Say whatever you want about them, but this one thing could never be proved, niether by pictures or so, nor by Hamas'es ideology...

(While I can show you pictures of the IDF using human shields!)

Sarkozy: Israel, Palestinians accepted Egypt-led truce plan

French president reports Israel, Palestinian Authority accepted plan for ceasefire presented by Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak Tuesday. Earlier Wednesday Olmert's office says Israel views dialogue as positive step. Hamas: Truce offer unacceptable

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Wednesday Israel and the Palestinian Authority had accepted a truce plan for Gaza announced by Egypt on Tuesday.

"The president is delighted by the acceptance by Israel and the Palestinian Authority of the Franco-Egyptian plan presented last night in Sharm el-Sheikh by President Hosni Mubarak," said a statement from Sarkozy's office.

"The head of state calls for this plan to be implemented as quickly as possible for the suffering of the population to stop."

Also on Wednesday Israel expressed satisfaction with the Egypt and French-led initiatives for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The cabinet convened earlier to discuss the alternatives regarding the fighting, namely either expanding the ground offensive or adopting plans for a truce.

The Prime Minister's Office said following the meeting that "Israel is working to improve the security reality in its southern area and is grateful to the presidents of France and Egypt for their efforts to broker an end to the terror and weapon smuggling emanating from Gaza.

"Israel sees the dialogue between Egyptian and Israel delegates, meant to advance these issues, as positive steps."

Olmert and defense Minister Ehud Barak will send senior representatives to Egypt in order to look into President Hosni Mubarak's offer.

Meanwhile, Osama Hamdan, a Hamas representative in Lebanon, said that the Egyptian-French initiative is unacceptable and that new ideas should be discussed.

Hamdan said, "There is no need to get excited over the Israeli agreement that was published. Israel's objective is to gain time in order to continue its ofensive."

The cabinet ministers heard briefings from senior defense establishment officials on the Gaza campaign, ahead of the conclusion of the second stage of Operation Cast Lead. The cabinet will soon be required to decide whether to expand the military operation in the Strip.

Sarkozy on Wednesday branded the escalation in Gaza "a global problem" and expressed hope that a truce would be reached soon. - source

Also ...
It would appear that the next stage of the operation will include an even more extensive ground incursion into built-up areas, and this will be at the center of the cabinet meeting this morning.

Meanwhile, the international diplomatic effort being led by the United States, France, Britain and Egypt is still focused on an initiative to deploy an international force of experts and troops that would assist Egyptian authorities in dealing with the tunnel system Hamas has built along the Philadelphi Route, which borders Sinai.

According to a political source in Jerusalem, France and the U.S. are working hard on Egypt to get it to agree to the initiative.

"If a solution is found, we will have no problem in immediately bringing the operation to an end," the Israeli source said.

Quartet envoy Tony Blair, the former British prime minister, told Israel's Channel 2 television on Tuesday that "there will either be a reliable mechanism for preventing smuggling or the operation will continue."

Monday night Sarkozy presented Olmert with the proposal he had discussed with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

The proposal for the deployment of a force of international experts would follow an Egyptian request for assistance.

The authors of the proposal are taking great pains to preserve Egyptian sovereignty and stress the advisory and collaborative role that would be assigned to the international deployment.

The same Israeli source said that Egypt is still reluctant to publicly acknowledge the tunnels problem in Rafah. Egypt claims that more than 300 tunnels have been destroyed during the past year, in spite of the fact that they complain not to have received the specialized equipment promised by the Americans for the task.

Talks are also being held on establishing a Palestinian oversight mechanism on the Gaza side of the border. - source
It will be interesting to see how Mubarak and Abbas deal with fanatic recalcitrance on the part of a Hamas that would much rather fire mortars from behind women and children than feed them.

Wow!....I really was about to believe that Hamas is actually using human shields!!
Why don't you guys have a look again, and FOCUS on what the guys said over there!
There is nothing that says "we hamas use human shields"..

Those people form Human Shields by their own will, just similar to the International Solidarity Movement, where people form human shields (by their OWN will) to stop violence. This is actually considered a noble thing from those volunteers!

This doesnt imply anything...Wrong try!

While check out this picture guys:

According to the BBC, Israel accepted the truce plan, while insisting on the need to negotiate certain terms within..Hamas already declared they are open to accept it after negotiating certain terms...Same situation as I can see..
And Sarkuzy didn't mention Hamas in his statment (he only mentioned Israel and the Palestinian authority), which means nothing because Hamas have to be addressed as well, as they are a basic part of the conflict..

Two more things I read and grapped my attention:

(However Christopher Gunness, a spokesman for the UN relief agency Unwra, said the move did not go far enough. "When you are trying to feed 750,000 people a day in Gaza as we are, you need a permanent ceasefire. You can't do that in a three-hour window," he said.)

(A Hamas spokesman told Al Arabiya television that the group would not launch any missiles at Israeli targets during the lull. )

Thanks

The video means nothing, you can interpret it in different ways, plus, nothing proves those are Hamas militants..

Are we really going to start publishing videos?!...Because there are tonnes of videos against Israel, and mostly out of topic..

But here is another "clear" video:
YouTube - Palestinian teenager being held as human shield

Videos never prove anything...But if you want to use them as a proof, then I'm fine with that!

Yeah, I can see no objective discussion here...I sent a long post to summurise and discuss all the points of view stated in the thread, giving conclusions and stuff...and just one person responded to that...while the others kept sending the same sort of posts, with no real information added to the discussion...And I'm only giving responses to the stuff you guys keep sending...and as long as u keep sending such stuff (meaningless), expect the same response from me...

You know what?...this is actually a waste of time, and I won't join back unless something real is being discussed..

I think that the truth of the situation is slowly being revealed. You have Hamas, who continually asks for the WORLD to diplomatically remove Israel FOR THEM, when they could easily remove Israel on their own by ceasing the firing of rockets into Israel.

During this whole matter, you've got Israel, who orchestrates a ceasefire so that humanitarian aid can reach the PALESTINIAN people of Gaza, at great detriment to their military operation.

Meanwhile, Israel is wrongfully accused (once again) of firing intentionally on civilians when we discover that the incident was, in fact, totally of Hamas's doing.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/07/w...html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=gaza death civilian&st=cse

And the idea that Hamas is in favor of a ceasefire while Israel is not is completely a lie. Hamas is the only one not willing to CEASE the FIRING of its rockets, which is what a "ceasefire" means.
