That certainly appears to be the case. The fact remains that something triggered a change from containment to engagement, and I truly wish I understood what it was. I also believe that - pending further clarification - the presumption of excessive force is far more socially responsible than is simply dismissing the incident by blaming the victim.

I read the story, it was outrageous, while they say she had a knife, but she never threatened anyone with it or pointed it at anyone, and the Israeli police that shot her had a wire barrier between her and them, and continued shooting her after she hit the ground. It depends on the angle. What is visible in first video can't be seen on that video.

Even a child with a knife can kill. If someone took out a knife, I would assume they wanted the worst. Many have been killed because they didn't respect the knife.
