Oh, I agree, but the fact it's highly unlikely doesn't mean that people in the White House can't fret over (wish for?) it.

"The amendment simply says a president must be able to discharge his duties. It doesn't necessarily say to discharge them well," he said. "People seem to be confusing that point."

The drawback for me being independent, at least in 16 states, including mine, is I can’t vote for who I want in the primaries, leaving it up to our wonderful Repubs and Dems to make the choice for us, even so there are more independents than either of the big two. It’s absurd.
Mine is one of those states. I have never voted in a primary election, because registering with a party feels too much like replying to a Nigerian prince with 50 million dollars who just needs a little help.
Yuck.

Pence is a co-conspirator in the debacle, he will go toooooooo

please, change your vote
No.
For two reasons, at least.
A) President Pence

I would be ok with President Ryan over Pence. But I don't think that is likely.
B) The impeachment process itself is a huge disaster for the country.
You can't just flip a switch and have the president you prefer. I remember all too well the debacle that was the Clinton impeachment hearings and I never want the USA to go through that again. The Republicans on Capitol Hill are sufficiently experienced in capture, contain, and obstruct to preserve the country. At least better than another Impeachment Circus followed by President Pence would likely work out.
So, No! I am not in favor of impeachment hearings until Meuller comes up with a smoking Kalashnikov, maybe not even then.

I voted no.

There simply is not enough evidence to support impeachment. Or else the trial would have started already.

Trump has made some mistakes. Sure he is an a-hole. But everything else is subjective opinions of people who hate him. So those opinions are biased and therefore invalid.
You ignore the enablers, aka boot lickers, of those in his party who fear his supporters.

Impeachability is very much about politics not about legality. The standard for impeachment is vague, probably deliberately so and does not tie in with the legal system.

Immorality, lying and egomania are probably not impeachable offenses although they come close. The current investigation that he's in a panic to suppress, on the other hand, might produce such grounds. Whether or not he's got "cognitive impairment" is a valid question.

Oh but it does-----------
Someone suffering from this extreme egocentric focus is an egomaniac. The condition is psychologically abnormal. The term egomania is often used by laypersons in a pejorative fashion to describe an individual who is intolerably self-centred.

An egomaniacal politician....especially a president?
This is unprecedented! I'll form a mob.

Myself, I'm just fine waiting for this investigation to carry on and see where it leads. Trump may think it's his right to do diddly **** whatever he wants, but I have no problems following legal precedence and rule of law and allowing him to be proven guilty, rather than assumed guilty with no solid evidence.

Exactly.
First see where that leads.
Maybe all those lies about Russian meetings and such were just simple mistakes.
If not, let's see what really happened. And go from there. Quite possibly, a long string of Senate hearings for everybody associated with Trump in any way would be preferable to impeachment hearings.
Especially if they can be dragged on into the mid terms. Let's not rush anything.

Maybe so, an old saying comes to mind. "Wish in one hand, p00p in the other, and see which fills up first". I'll believe the evidence when I see it.

You presume wrong then. I like/dislike a lot of policies of both parties. Thats the great thing about being Libertarian is I can have the best of both worlds, without the drawback of being pigeonholed.
Uh-huh. I think you misunderstand bias, but anyway.

It Is Time To Talk Impeaching Trump

1. to accuse (a public official) before an appropriate tribunal of misconduct in office.

Pathological lying is a form of “misconduct in office” making it an impeachable offence

Dump is a pathological liar and that is NOT what we want as our President.
We, the citizens of this great Nation must act NOW
What say you, fellow Americans-?

Pathological lying (also called pseudologia fantastica and mythomania) is a behavior of habitual or compulsive lying.[1][2] It was first described in the medical literature in 1891 by Anton Delbrueck.[2] Although it is a controversial topic,[2] pathological lying has been defined as "falsification entirely disproportionate to any discernible end in view, may be extensive and very complicated, and may manifest over a period of years or even a lifetime".[1] Individuals may be aware they are lying, or may believe they are telling the truth

Psychotherapy appears to be one of the only methods to treat a person suffering from pathological lying. No research has been performed regarding the use of pharmaceutical medication to treat pathological liars
.............................................

Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body formally levels charges against a high official of government. Impeachment does not necessarily mean removal from office; it is only a formal statement of charges, akin to an indictment in criminal law, and is thus only the first step towards removal. Once an individual is impeached, he or she must then face the possibility of conviction via legislative vote, which then entails the removal of the individual from office.

Presidential Impeachment Process

Presidential Impeachment is a two stage Constitutional process. The full power of Impeachment and the removal of a sitting President resides within Congress. The actual impeachment of a President is the sole power of the House of Representatives. Once a President is impeached, the power of removing the President shifts to the U.S. Senate.

The House of Representatives starts the impeachment process by publicly investigating the charges and holding hearings. If the House of Representatives votes against impeachment the process is over and the President is not Impeached.

If the House of Representatives votes for Impeachment of the President, the process moves forward with the drawing up of the Articles of Impeachment (The official criminal charges for removal from office). The President has now been officially impeached per the United States Constitution. Once the Impeachment process is final, trials are then held in the U.S. Senate to convict or acquit the President of the Articles of Impeachment drawn against him.

*****NOTE: As of November 19, 2017 Articles of Impeachment have been drawn up against Trump

Trump could also be charged with obstruction of justice

b.t.w. 30 days in jail would bring him back down to earth as well

Do you agree--?
Like the last several presidents we had?

Ah don't sweat it. It's not like Trump will be president forever. Put the kettle on, have a warm cup of tea, hot chocolate, or coffee or whatever.....
