My reasoning tells me that many other religious books make the same claim of their God(s) performing miracles, so what makes your book so special? Just because a book said something doesn't make it true. Do you honestly believe every book you read just because someone told you it is the word of God?

Nope, I believe the Bible is God's word because I personally read it cover to cover. I'm wondering why you care what I believe. Do you have something against christians? I haven't tried to tell you what or how to believe. I haven't insulted you because you don't believe. I've simply stated what I believe. What's up with all the animosity and hatefulness? Only when I can hide behind a keyboard. I normally live quietly and peacefully. But when you come onto a website that says "Religious Debate" you have to expect people to debate your beliefs.

I know that most members debated that countless times and the debate is getting old, but actually I came through 2 verses in the bible that would explicitly say that Jesus peace be upon him was not god.

Numbers 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Acts 2:22 "Men of Israel listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you know."


Now there are many verses in the bible that do serve the same purpose, but I think these two would be enough for now and I would see how the discussion would progress.

I believe your problem is not understanding scripture in context.

I believe this pertains in particular to character not form. Jesus does not lie so He still can be God.

I believe this is Peter speking to Jews according to their understanding of things. So he is speaking of that which is prima facie ie easily recognizable.

Here is the logic:

Jesus is God and man.
God is not a man.
Therefore the human part of Jesus is not God.

It can be reasoned that Jesus as a whole is not God but for identification purposes the fact that He is partially God identifies Him as God.

I believe I do not.

I believe no one told me this. I figured it out for myself.

I beleive miracles only indicate a book can be from God. It is not absolute prroof that it is.

I believe my book satisfies the scientific method. I read the instructions, performed the experiment and found the predicted result. No other book contains these instructions.

The raising of the dead, the healing of the sick and even making many from one were miracles performed by Elisha and Elijah. They were prophets of God in the Old Testament.

Jesus was put to death for blasphemy. He only claimed to be the Christ or anointed one a messiah. He never claimed to be God. But even as a prophet he was rejected by the people. He was tried,convicted and put to death for blasphemy.

Deuteronomy 18: 20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death."

Jesus was as confused as any man would have been if they knew there mother was a virgin......questions would rule his world and the answers he seeks from " the crowd " is just like getting an answer from RF lol.

all the story's of "who is" and "who isn't" god are just massive covers of the truth..............mary is god ,Jesus is her son , and he protected that fact so the " crowd" wouldnt put her on the cross for saying " i am god " ......like they did Jesus

Mary created the world and realized its not working so flooded the world to start again.

after starting the world again realized that its not the humans fault of error( wars etc )...... Its the fact that were all just infant gods like her and the only way to learn from our mistakes is to .....wise up

Mary didn't flood the world again after realizing what she had actually created......billions of gods.

instead she had a child as a radical attempt to get us to " wise up " and spread the word.........this went wrong and Jesus ended up on the cross.........point of the " young teenage gods" proven with no lesson learnt with the world STILL at war and no PEACE. .

Mary is god and no "voice from heaven" spoke to her or anyone......she fabricated this " he god voice" to protect her self after realizing the human intellect would rebel against her.......like they did her son ......correct

if anyone from the story's heard god talk to them BEFORE MARY WAS BORN it was either a load of rubbish or it was Actually god " Mary"......... But with AUTHORITY in her voice ........ Meaning a mans voice lol you know how man likes AUTHORITY.

AUTHORITY a lesson man needs to learn is untrue and not " edan " worthy.

He was put to death for many reasons, one being that He claimed to be God, which was considered blasphemy.

His crucifixion, however, was predetermined before the foundation of the world. God knew a Savior would be needed because of sinful main. This is the main reason He died on the cross.

exactly!!!........ He didn't say he was god because he was protecting his mother by choosing a lesser title to see how the " crowd" reacted......they didn't react good

if he had said he was god the reaction would have be much more serious..

claiming to be god would have reduced his chances of trying to fix the worlds problems without floodification ( yeah that's a word lol )........ By zero hense the whole reason why he protected his mother Mary....god

so what your saying is that Jesus is the " son " of god ?
