Jesus was God in the flesh.

He chose to be made lower than the angels (a human being) because He loved us. He gave His life so that we may live. Jesus said that those who believe and are baptized would be saved.

Jesus wasn't created. He always was. He is eternal.

Are you muslim? Or atheist?
Jesus said before Abraham, he was.
John 8:58
"Very truly I tell you," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

But Jesus does not claim he was before Adam. Even Adam was before Abraham. So how can Jesus be eternal if he came after Adam?

what do you mean?
Mary had other children after Jesus. Her role was diminished to a typical housewife. How could she be God if she was also serving Joseph as her master?

"Mary had four other sons, Joseph, James, Jude, and Simon. Because of the virgin birth, Joseph was not the father of Jesus so these were the half brothers of Jesus. The last three mentioned are not to be confused with those who were disciples of Jesus by the same name. Here are some passages where the other sons of Mary by Joseph are mentioned (Matt. 12:46; 13:55; Mark 6:3; John 2:12; 7:3, 5, 10; Acts 1:14; 1 Cor. 9:5; Gal. 1:19)."

Good Morning,

Jesus came after Adam in human form, but is eternal in Godly form.

John 1:1,14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us...

Jesus is the Word.

Mary is not God. The Bible never elevates her to that position. You are correct! Mary is a human being with no divine qualities. She was held in very high esteem by God, and was a chosen vessel to be the Mother of Jesus. She was blessed among women, but was still a sinner like the rest of us humans.

Jesus said a lot of things and much more was said about him. But there is no law or rational behind a man being sacrificed for the sins of others. Jesus was tried, convicted and put to death for blasphemy. Even at the cross he felt betrayed by God.
Matthew 27:46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").

So why was Jesus put to death?
Deuteronomy 18: 20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death."

The Christians made a martyr of Jesus and subsequent generations of Christians exalted Jesus to a deity a God. But Jesus was just a misguided Jewish rabbi who suffered from a messiah complex. Left untreated his delusional condition got worse. He actually began to believe he was the anointed one, the Christ.

Good Morning,

Jesus came after Adam in human form, but is eternal in Godly form.

John 1:1,14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us...

Jesus is the Word.
Those are John's writing about Jesus. Jesus never made those claims nor are they his words. You should get a red letter bible and read what Jesus actually said in his own words. You will find he was mostly incoherent and only spoke in parables which no one around him understood.

No Christian can claim to understand Jesus's teachings.

I list the verse first followed by the point I am making.

Mark 4:34 In fact, in his public ministry he never taught without using parables; but afterward, when he was alone with his disciples, he explained everything to them.

1. So unless you were his disciple. Jesus's teachings remain unexplained to the public.

Luke 18:31 Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
32 He will be handed over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him, spit on him, flog him and kill him.
33 On the third day he will rise again."
34 The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about.

2. Even the disciples did not understand and did not know what Jesus was talking about even after the resurrection. So Jesus never got over his bad habit of speaking in parables and remained inarticulate, incoherent.

Luke 8:10 He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, "'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.

3. Now it is not Jesus's explanation that can reveal to the disciples, but God has to give them that knowledge. Because Jesus only speaks in parables.

John 16: 25 "Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.

4. A time will come when Jesus will speak plainly, coherently. But unfortunately Jesus was put to death before he could. The time for Jesus speaking plainly has passed. Check point 2.

1 Corinthians 2:10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

5. Maybe it is the Spirit that can reveal all things. But we know the Spirit was not getting through to tbe disciples. They constantly complained they did not get what Jesus was saying. Are we in a conundrum??

"Jesus isn't god"...... I never thought he was.

his mother is, always has been :)
this thread has been a wonder to me from the title.

when i said ...." Jesus isn't god i never thought he was"

meant that iv never heard any one actually say he is god or read that Jesus said he was god iv always know Jesus to be the messiah etc ...... But never god!

my surprise to this thread is of that i didn't know anyone that thought he was "GOD".

i just thought the gods of religion are (excuse my innocence) joahva....budda....allah...i forget the rest but iv never heard of Jesus being god..........the reasons i believe its Mary are in my eyes obvious:)...... To me anyway and that's all that matters.

i do apologize for my lack of knowledge about religions and believes.........but iv tended to follow my own believes since i could think and they seem to set solid in my mind :)

When Jesus was on the cross, He bore the sins of the whole world on His shoulders. God cannot look at sin. I believe He turned His back on Jesus at that time. Jesus no doubt felt very lonely and abandoned in that moment. Hence His cry.
