Let's take Trump at his word

Yea, he does say some stupid stuff that could be compared to dangerous dictators but he didn't do any of that kind of stuff when president.

So what's wrong with my quote?
Trump didn't do a lot of things in office that he wantd to do. Jeff Sessions wouldn't do what Trump wanted. Bill Barr wouldnt do what Trump wanted, so he resignd. Many staffers interfered with things Trump wanted to do. Comey wouldn't do what Trump wanted, so was fired. Even the Secret Service wouldn't take trump to the Capitol on Jan 6. The Georgia election officials wouldn't do what Trump wanted. And famously pence wouldn't do what Trump wanted. The list goes on of things Trump wanted but many would not do. Trump has learned his lesson and has revealed that he will fire many in DOJ and the FBI if they don't do what he wants.

And yet you still show support?

Was just trying to see if you disagreed with Obama saying the same sort of things.

Trump tried to build a silly wall which frankly wasn't going to work anyway because (D)'s work against immigration enforcement efforts by providing sanctuary to illegal aliens and by default the underground economy.
Please, go ahead and find us some Obama quotes that are, word for word, cribbed from Hitler speeches. Please.
There is now quite a lot of support for the anti-Israel cause among the Left in America and without perhaps intending it, support for Hamas.
Only to people who don't know how to separate Hamas from Palestinians and Israelis from the Israeli government.
Supporting the Palestinian people isn't the same thing as supporting Hamas. Not by a mile.

Which is?
Some of which @Revoltingest just pointed out:

What do you call Trump's order that Pence overturn the election?
Having fake electors in MI?
Having fake electors in GA?
Exhorting MAGAs to storm The Capitol, & failing to order them to stand down?
Having his minions knowingly present false testimony that the election was stolen?

They had fake elector schemes set up in seven states, by the way.
They also broke into voting machines in Michigan.
Trump also called and repeatedly harassed Governors asking them to "find" votes for him.

Read the indictments for the rest.

Comparing acceptance speeches: Adolf Hitler 1933 and Barack Obama 2008

By Mary Mostert
November 6, 2008In 1933 when Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany, he gave an acceptance speech in which he described the then-current condition of Germany as having "seen the unity of the nation vanishing away, dissolving in a confusion of political and personal opinions, economic interests, and ideological differences." In speeches that mesmerized the German people he promised change, unity and peace if the people would be "obedient" and follow his plans for National Socialism described in his book, Mein Kampf.

Last night Barack Obama made pretty much the same promise. He described this nation as facing the "greatest challenges of our lifetime" and promised change, unity and peace, if only we now will rise and follow him as "one people" into his version of national socialism.

Like Adolf Hitler, before he had any accomplishment to report, Obama wrote his autobiography "Dreams of My Father." And, like Hitler, Obama is viewed emotionally by most of his nation as one who can "save" them from problems or discomforts they experienced during a previous government. Now that he has been elected, Obama tells us, "at this defining moment, change has come to America."

The remaking of Germany into Hitler's dream of National Socialism led to World War II and more than 50 million deaths worldwide. I pointed out in March that Obama's message (http://www.bannerofliberty.com/BOL-2008MQC/3-19-2008.1.html) in effect was that MOST Americans are "victims" who can only be saved by Obama as president and a socialist government — apparently entirely financed by the 5% of the population he calls "rich."

We had two choices: to vote for: John McCain, who has a long and public record of his love for this nation, his courage and willingness to serve and sacrifice for America and Barack Obama who is an accomplished orator who didn't have the love, courage or willingness to defend his own pastor when, after 20 years of being a member of his church, the man's sermons were made public. Obama has given only words and a book he wrote about himself for Americans to judge him by. Below are comparisons of Obama's and Hitler's speeches upon gaining the leadership of their nations. Although there now are many histories written about Hitler's leadership of Germany, none of them seem to reflect the upbeat mood of his acceptance speech of February 1, 1933. :

MORE than fourteen years have passed since the unhappy day when the German people, blinded by promises from foes at home and abroad, lost touch with honor and freedom, thereby losing all. Since that day of treachery, the Almighty has withheld his blessing from our people. Dissension and hatred descended upon us. .

The misery of our people is horrible to behold! Millions of the industrial proletariat are unemployed and starving; the whole of the middle class and the small artisans have been impoverished. When this collapse finally reaches the German peasants, we will be faced with an immeasurable disaster. For then not only shall a nation collapse, but a two-thousand-year-old inheritance, some of the loftiest products of human culture and civilization.

It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America. For even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime — two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century. Even as we stand here tonight, we know there are brave Americans waking up in the deserts of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan to risk their lives for us.

All about us the warning signs of this collapse are apparent. .And as leaders of the nation and the national Government we vow to God, to our conscience, and to our people that we will faithfully and resolutely fulfill the task conferred upon us.

The inheritance which has fallen to us is a terrible one. The task with which we are faced is the hardest which has fallen to German statesmen within the memory of man. But we are all filled with unbounded confidence for we believe in our people and their imperishable virtues. Every class and every individual must help us to found the new Reich.

The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and co-operation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life....

Turbulent instincts must be replaced by a national discipline as the guiding principle of our national life. All those institutions which are the strongholds of the energy and vitality of our nation will be taken under the special care of the Government.

The National Government intends to solve the problem of the reorganization of trade and commerce with two four-year plans:

There are mothers and fathers who will lie awake after their children fall asleep and wonder how they'll make the mortgage, or pay their doctor's bills, or save enough for college. There is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created; new schools to build and threats to meet and alliances to repair.

The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America — I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you — we as a people will get there.

There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make as President, and we know that government can't solve every problem. But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And above all, I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation the only way it's been done in America for two-hundred and twenty-one years — block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.

What began twenty-one months ago in the depths of winter must not end on this autumn night. This victory alone is not the change we seek — it is only the chance for us to make that change. And that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were. It cannot happen without you.

So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism; of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other. Let us remember that if this financial crisis taught us anything, it's that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while Main Street suffers — in this country, we rise or fall as one nation; as one people.

The German farmer must be rescued in order that the nation may be supplied with the necessities of life....

A concerted and all-embracing attack must be made on unemployment in order that the German working class may be saved from ruin....

The November parties have ruined the German peasantry in fourteen years. In fourteen years they have created an army of millions of unemployed. The National Government will, with iron determination and unshakable steadfastness of purpose, put through the following plan:

Within four years the German peasant must be rescued from the quagmire into which he has fallen.

Within four years unemployment must be finally overcome. At the same time the conditions necessary for a revival in trade and commerce are provided. The National Government will couple with this tremendous task of reorganizing business life a reorganization of the administrative and fiscal systems of the Reich, of the Federal States, and the Communes.

Only when this has been done can the idea of a continued federal existence of the entire Reich be fully realized....

Compulsory labor-service and the back-to-the-land policy are two of the basic principles of this program.

The securing of the necessities of life will include the performance of social duties to the sick and aged.

In economical administration, the promotion of employment, the preservation of the farmer, as well as in the exploitation of individual initiative, the Government sees the best guarantee for the avoidance of any experiments which would endanger the currency.

As regards its foreign policy the National Government considers its highest mission to be the securing of the right to live and the restoration of freedom to our nation. Its determination to bring to an end the chaotic state will assist in restoring to the community of nations a State of equal value and, above all, a State which must have equal rights. It is impressed with the importance of its duty to use this nation of equal rights as an instrument for the securing and maintenance of that peace which the world requires today more than ever before.

I was going to start a thread on this issue. Trump posted this this weekend, and then repeated it in a speech he gave, which he was reading from a teleprompter.

On Saturday at 10:25 a.m., he posted on Truth Social: “In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American dream.” Then, at a rally in New Hampshire later that day, he repeated those words essentially verbatim—promising to “root out ... the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country”—and then doubled down on it: “The real threat is not from the radical right, the real threat is from the radical left, and it’s growing every day, every single day. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within.”

Is this how a sane candidate runs for office in the USA? Who finds this appealing?
Do you really want to know? I hope that the RF members that support him start to take a serious look into their mirrors.

So your solution is to get rid of one's opponent, then sit on one's *** and do nothing afterwards.
This is not an honest way to debate.

When it comes to problems it often helps to go after the biggest problems first. Right now Trump is a bigger problem. Biden is still enforcing border laws. In fact he is enforcing them better in some ways. Trump opposed allowing even refugees through, but the US, along with every other major UN country, agreed to help refugees. Trump opposed the asylum process, Biden is trying to properly implement it.

The 2020 coup failed largely because there were people in his administration who would not go along with it. That won't happen the second time.

We've seen this before.

The they're-all-the-same cynics are ignorant, dangerous fools.
^ this was the point of the thread, and it needs to be emphasized.

For those who are privileged to vote in this country, you have a civic responsibility to vote for Trump's defeat. That may mean successfully defeating him in the Republican primary or, should that fail, defeating him in the Presidential election.

Any action that compromises the struggle to defeat Trump is vile complicity, and those complicit will almost certainly have blood on their hands.

There is now quite a lot of support for the anti-Israel cause among the Left in America and without perhaps intending it, support for Hamas.
There may be factions within the left which could be described accurately as anti-Israel, but I think most of the left just want Israel to respect international law.

ETA and surely you are aware of right factions which are anti-Jewish.
