In Taoism, the left hand is yin (counsellor, wisdom) the right hand is yang (skillful force.)
See Tao Te Ching 31 for how to employ each, as Tao employs both, but favors the yin.

Thank you . I was searching google for Taoist LHP, so far I've only found Taoist alchemy and magic.

I only went back a few pages, but here's a bunch of unaddressed stuff. Do you think you'll get to me by having the support of a user who has proven time and time again he has no idea what he is talking about?

So if I don't fist fight a tiger because of my advanced intelligence, I must be a RHP slave to the natural order? No, I'm using the very gift that births the LHP to avoid a stupid and pointless situation.

I never defended such a mechanism, you're the one who gives it power through fear of association. Look at it this way: every month I make X, have to pay Y, and would like money to spend on Z. This at least means I want X = Y+Z. If X < Y+Z it is important that Y is covered before Z, it would be irresponsible and against my self interest to pay for Z first and not have enough for Y. According you you this makes me a slave bound to social norms somehow, which is just silly. If you'd rather scream that Y is evil and Z is all that matters, don't come asking to use my water, eat my food, etc.

Another example:

When you drive down the street, a lot of it is automatic. When you first start, assuming you start at the proper age, driving is pretty scary for most people. Some are terrified of turning left, driving the freeway, switching lanes... But eventually you get so accustomed to driving that you barely have to think about it. A more intense example of this is your automatic systems: your breath, heart beat, digestion. Imagine having to cognitively do all that! I have enough health problems and enough to occupy my mind, I sure as **** don't want to have to worry about my basic physiological processes!

Individuals can and should govern themselves. It's the collectives that need governing, imo.

Not everyone can effectively govern themselves and this is why humanity as a species requires governments.

Those individuals who are incapable of governing themselves (such as children and mentally disabled adults) customarily have parents and/or guardians.
If it ever gets to the point where an individual's position in "society" is dictated by a governing body, it's no longer a society--it's a slave state.

Eastern LHP ultimately leads to something I can only refer to as ego destruction. The working ego, the operating system interface between you and the world, is retained and left to its proper job -- dealing with mundane problems. It becomes a tool in a toolbox just to be manipulated to whatever end one requires to survive. It is no longer polarized by outside forces and works only for you, but I guess this may seem confusing to someone that identifies with it as their entire being. Anyway, like anything it only cuts for you if you keep it sharp. If you bog it down with worthless ideas, or restrictions... It dulls...

So it has the biggest defining trait of the RHP but is somehow magically LHP?
