I like this analogy… an eagle seeks fresh meat and a buzzard seeks dead meat. They both find what they are looking for. You want to see God as the author of murder, and that is what you see when you read. Never going deeper. Thus Jesus spoke in parables. The hungry find the God who is Love.
2 Chronicles 15:12-13

And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.”
Deuteronomy 17:12 Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel.

Leviticus 20:13 “If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives.”
Leviticus 20:27 A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death.
