... besides Matthew, I find Mark 4:12 along Matthew's line of thought along with Acts of the Apostles 28:26-27
This speaks about those with a hardened heart. Again nothing not already understood .

You would have understood revelation 2:17 if you had listened to what the spirit says.

Not everyone pays attention to that still small voice within.

They allow the outside noises more attention
Not everyone has the Spirit, as I already have shown.
He speaks to everyone but not everyone listens. And when you harden your heart enough times he may quit speaking.

Per the Bible the Holy Spirit is God. We aren't God.
Yes we are. You're trying to define an infinite. You are trying to explain where God, an infinite, can and can't be. If God is in all, colossians 3:11, self would respect others more.

The spirit of god is love most of all. That spirit is found in all, if only for self.

Nope we are finite and broken humans. God is infinite. We can operate from his love but that doesn't make us God's.

If man is made in the image of god, then shouldn't the search for god begin in the reflection of self?

Isn't God recreating self in the image of self?

Exodus 3:14

No, man may be made in the image of God, but man is not God, the Creator. Also, the scriptures are clear that humanity in our fallen, sinful condition have become corrupt. So looking inward or reflection on self will not lead to knowing God...

Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man...
Romans 1:22-23

Jesus, the Son, is the One to reflect upon...

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high...
Hebrews 1:1-3

Which God am I made in the image of? Not YHWH for sure.
They all point to the same idea, I personally call it the All or the Almighty. More of a permeating force than a material creature or being.

The way I see it, we are all fragments of the mysterious unnamable form that was our universe prior to (if that's even possible) the Planck era.

The main question I have being: Was the universe in that configuration capable of being "conscious", or was a more mechanical process such as determinism at play?

our earthly form is finite. Our spirit is infinite. In your cosmology the spirit either goes to heaven or hell for eternity. An eternity, an infinite, has no beginning or end.

John 1:1-3

Says through and without. So there is nothing that exists apart from it. God created and called it good and loved it. But men distorted it for selfishness, for service to self vs service to all as self.

That's preposterous. To believe you can just do anything and still be like God?
Do you see God in a cannibal? A pedafile?
There's many evil souls in this world.

Yes, God exists in the cannibal, in the pedophile, in the wolf, in the centipede. I said nothing about the body doing anything. Did you not read the quote from Paramahansa Yogananda? The gold of the soul could be covered by mud and the corruption of an evil body but the soul remains undefiled. The soul is not evil, the body is. How do you interpret being made in the image of God? What image? Certainly not a physical image unless you believe in an anthropomorphic God. That’s the problem with the Abrahamic paradigm … Christianity paints itself into a corner with its literal interpretations. It causes dilemmas and paradoxes that don’t exist in other beliefs.

No .. Almighty God is Holy, Pure, while we are not.
We can appreciate what it MEANS to be Holy.
We can appreciate what it MEANS to have unselfish love.

..but .. yes, you guessed it .. we are all sinners.
None of us are perfect, and we need to humble ourselves before God, asking for forgiveness.
Our souls are in need .. Almighty God has no needs.

God does not eat, drink, sleep or use the toilet.
God maintains electrons spinning around atoms .. without God .. nothing !

That is the duality of the Abrahamic religions .., that God is separate from creation.

Some people have crossed the line and are nothing but evil. Unfortunate, but true.

Is the soul evil, or the body? What is the soul? If God created the soul can God create evil? Free will you say? Who or what created free will? If free will causes evil then God created evil itself or the conditions for evil to flourish.
