Good assumption. I think the word is pescatarian. During the 1 year official transition, I ate fish, especially while travelling, as in those days you'd starve if you didn't. Now it's different, thank goodness.

when we first started coming to France we had terrible trouble feeding out daughter, she had just gone veggi and vegitarianism simply did not exist here. She would get a pat on the head and a "never mind, she'll get over it", "have you taken her to the doctor's" and best of all "sausage is ok, its not really meat"

Now supermarkets have whole vegetarian isles.

Yeah it's great now. Even trendy. I can travel anywhere practically. Really good food too. Grilled cheese (processed cheese on white bread) and fries (cooked in lard) were the 'go to' 45 years ago.

45 years ... Im talking less than 10

And often you have to check the fries are cooked in goose fat even now
