Mandatory Vaccinations?

FACT:
700,000 dead Americans were not vaccinated.
Zero dead Americans from among those who have been vaccinated.

THE ACTUAL TRUE FACT:
As of July 6, the CDC reported 5,186 cases of breakthrough Covid-19 cases that led to severe disease among 157 million fully vaccinated people in the US. That’s about a 0.003 percent breakthrough rate for severe disease, although the CDC acknowledged that this is likely an undercount, since the numbers are drawn from voluntary reports and patchy surveillance. Of the 5,186 severe illnesses, 4,909 were hospitalizations and 988 led to deaths.

Vaccine breakthrough cases are expected. COVID-19 vaccines are effective and are a critical tool to bring the pandemic under control. However, no vaccines are 100% effective at preventing illness in vaccinated people. There will be a small percentage of fully vaccinated people who still get sick, are hospitalized, or die from COVID-19.

Agreed. I just wanted to clarify there have been fully vaccinated persons dying from C.O.V.I.D.-19. Somebody posted there have been no deaths among vaccinated persons, which of course that is not true.

Yeah. I had to look up the source but they've been talking about COVID vaccine side affects, deaths, etc for awhile in the media. Shifting through that is not an arm and a leg.

5000 out of 157 million is a 0.003% chance of dieing of COVID-19 while vaccinated, correct?

I had to re-do it since my window went out.

Yes... It's like commercial ads when they say a product is good then say "but" and list all the side effects at the bottom of the screen and/or say them so fast because of legal purposes.

The "but" is important to my point not invalidating it.
You can give it to em strait "but" there is a reality that needs facing. End of story on that regard.

I can't list all the videos but there are videos on "both sides" and both points good and bad, but to make my point here are youtube titles.... anyway. Just because it's true does that mean it needs to be discredited or completely ignored?
What is the point of allowing "the other side"?

Do you believe provaxxer side is 100% true?

Not in a way it discredits their side (depends on country for example), but in a way that's the only side you take into consideration making decisions for your health and others?

Boohoo. Its standard for medical facilities. I even had to get up to date on my vaccines working mental health.
In that field its not about you, it is about your patients and if want to selfishly and needlessly put them at risk then get in another field.

"Small percentage" is an exaggeration. As @Suave showed, we're talking about a 0.003% chance to die of COVID while vaccinated. That's roughly 1/30th of a percent chance.

The problem are not the vaccinations, it's that a lot of people are really bad at dealing with probability.

There will always be a flaw and side effects in vaccine, meds, whatever. Discrediting the severity of the side effects CDC is looking into doesn't falsify these things exist and are being looked into.

If it wasn't the vaccines why would CDC look into a connection between the two?

What's wrong with side effects to an experimental treatment? ... 0.003% shouldn't mean anything to vaccinated, right?

I'm not sure what you're debating against. The info is there, just some time the risk others do not.

I guess you'd have to compare the 0.003% to the risk of dying from Covid while unvaccinated.
Though of course with public health measures like vaccination, it's not just about personal risk, it's also about societal risk, and the risk to others.

If you just take Covid deaths in America per capita, (since we are uncertain how many American have had it and didn't get ill enough to be hospitalized) the fatality rate from Covid is 0.18%, a 60 times higher risk of dying from Covid if you are unvaccinated on a PER CAPITA comparison.

Presumably the unvaccinated risk of death will be lower for young people.

Yeah. Because it isn't the provaxxer side. Its just the medical community. Just like the prosurgery community. The promedicine community. Now there are certain gaps in medicine that I disagree with but it is almost always because of profit motive of pharmaceutical companies.

A link would have been nice. But that's OK, I did the work for you...

You are correct, Deaths from among vaccinated people is now about 1000. 1000 dead from 157,000,000 vaccinated people.

Death rate among the unvaccinated population:
700,000 of 300,000,000 .0023
Death rate among the vaccinated population:
1000 of 157,000,000 .0000063

None of the manufacturers claimed the vaccine would be 100% effective. Claims of effectiveness did not include new strains that have cropped up because unvaccinated people breed new strains.

My emphases in following.
Keep an eye on breakthrough Covid-19 cases. But don’t freak out.
At the same time, it’s clear that vaccines are not impregnable. As more people have become immunized against Covid-19, the number of breakthrough infections — cases of people getting infected after getting their shots — has gone up. That’s not a surprise.

“Vaccine breakthrough cases are expected,” according to the CDC.

That’s because no vaccine is 100 percent effective at blocking an infection in all circumstances.

As of July 6, the CDC reported 5,186 cases of breakthrough Covid-19 cases that led to severe disease among 157 million fully vaccinated people in the US. That’s about a 0.003 percent breakthrough rate for severe disease

So breakthrough infections are rare, even among people who are more vulnerable.

Compare that with the state of the pandemic in December before vaccines were widespread: 6.3 million new infections, 123,000 hospitalizations, and more than 65,000 deaths from Covid-19 were recorded that month. Even with less than half the US population currently vaccinated, Covid-19 vaccines have helped cause a huge drop in cases.

The best strategy for preventing breakthrough infections is increasing vaccination rates further, getting to the point where enough people are immunized to prevent SARS-CoV-2 from jumping person to person easily. The added benefit of vaccinations is that they also reduce opportunities for mutation.
Did you read that last paragraph? Do you understand it?
