Mass Assault in Cologne, Mayor blames female victims ?!

First of all, you haven't substantiated the claim that the criminals are being excused. Second, it is obvious the police force will be working towards preventing crimes happening during the event.

I'm requesting again for the sake of the debate between you and me that you quote the mayors words and to quote some of the defenders here.

We'll look closer at the obvious things being obvious.

There are 21 pages discussing whether the Mayor gave good advice (she didn't) and only one on the actual assaults and what they mean for European society. Am I the only one who finds this odd?

The thread was supposed to be about whether she was blaming victims or not

I can't answer this without mentioning people in the third person, so I'm not going to.
If there is fervent disagreement between 2 sides, this
doesn't mean others' opinions are necessarily "discarded".
But if so, it wouldn't likely be only one side doing so.

It's the only reason you gave. Were you lying then or are you lying now?

Why am I not surprised? Another loaded post, this time manifesting in the form of a question.

Whatever. I'm not going to waste my time again. (I keep telling myself that and then get sucked back in because of the blatant sexism. Oh well.)

Why would that (bad) advice be given to people of the locality after you got beat? Is it because you were weak or not smart enough... an example for the locality?

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Is warning citizens of an area victim blaming as many here would have you believe or not?

I commented this in another thread. It will mean gains for anti-immigration parties and far right activity will increase and have more popular support.

You gave ONE reason why you felt I was not worth talking to.

ONE

It was that I didn't agree with you that the mayor was blaming victims.

Do you deny that?

And I've never written one sexist word on this thread. Again falsehoods from you.

Yes, I deny that as so incorrect as to be ridiculous.

Not that it matters much, though. I'm just going to quote your posts only when I feel like blatant falsehoods are being repeated by you.

Honestly, I don't see the point of quoting her or anyone else's words.
This content is readily accessible on this topic.

I have no idea if you edited the post, but you gave only one reason why you felt talking to me was pointless.

Six words. Bolden in red.

LOL!!

Of course it is. But you started this conversation with me with some counter claims that are specific in nature. I'm requesting you back up your specified claims. If you refuse, we have nothing more to discuss on this topic.

Just so we are on the same page, what specified claims do you want me to back up?

I'd argue that whether it's direct blame or not is irrelevant. I'm sure she didn't mean to blame them, just saying something because there's an expectation to say something so she offered banal and faulty advice. A problem here with mayor's like statements is some victims haven't yet come out and she's pushing them out. And the same things are repeated over and over on the internet as "advice". Common knowledge for the layman, right?

Objection to what?
If DS said it was pointless to talk to you because you were male....?
There was this business of noticing that only males were defending the mayor from being a "rape apologist".
(Later amended to mostly males.)
That struck me as dismissing guys just cuz we're guys....& dismissing gals just cuz they agree with some guys.
So I objected to that....but without questioning his honesty.
