Yeah that is what I thought.

TRISTESS ask anyone to read that verse and it will not come across as you explained it about rape.
In order for a man to have sex with a woman they were to be married, but in this case they had sex before they were married, and then they got married. I will address each one of you rpoints, but lets focus on this one first.

No where did it say rape, why would you assume such an awful thing? Today if I go out and meet a girl at the burger joint. I take her out to a movie, and then make my move. I have sex with her for 5 hours, and she has been ravaged. Why does that have to mean rape.
Does the words "Lay hold on her" is that what bothers you? Does that mean he raped her?
It is customery even today for families to give daughters away. I don't think it is a good thing, but it is not condoning rape.
So on this first verse you have supplied I would like to come to an agreemant that it is stretching this to say it is rape, and then he paid the dad off to cover it up.

If not, please give the reason for your position

Different bibles have different readings of that passage, and many others, I'd be more than happy to cite some more atrocious findings in the bible.

The lord said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and the birds of the air, for I am grieving that I have made them"

Thats mass genocide. Good thing it's only a fairy tale. I would hate to live in a world with that kind of god. Thats only the very beginning of the bible too.

Revelation 8:1

Revelation 12:3-4

Revelation 12:7-11

Revelation 8:1
This verse is talking about the first part of the great tribulation. It is a period of time that is equal to 2300 days. This happened in the year 1988. The period ended in 1994. During that time no one was being saved. This is the silence part. You see when a single person is saved there is joy in heaven with the angels, but during the first part of the great tribulation no one was being saved. Also the church ended at this time as well. God gave all churches up to Satan to prepare them for judgement. In 1994, people began to be saved again, this was the next Jubilee year, and the Holy spirit began pouring out again.

Revelation 12:3-4
The red dragon is a picture of satan. When we look at the crowns on the head, we understand that Satan is viewed not as the traditional view on Tom and Jerry, but infact looks just like Jesus. This was a picture of Israel who were suppose to be God's people but rejected him. So they have the appearance of something great, but in fact are just a false representation of God. Of course the child was Jesus whom he wanted to destroy.

Revelation 12:7-11
Michael is a picture of Jesus, the definition of Michael is "one who is like GOD", so in this set of verses, it was describing what happened at the cross. Up until that point Satan had access to heaven, and appered to be winning because people have died from day one. However when Jesus rose from the dead, he gave Satan a death blow. Death no longer had dominion over our life. At this point Satan was cast out of Heaven. He was sent down to the Earth to continue his work.

Guys, you are wasting keystrokes this case of arrested development.

I know this guy. He was on Bnet for yrs posting this same stuff. And stuff you don't want to see. If you feed him he can and will keep this up for MONTHS. He has more "weird" interpretations they you have objections.

Unless you just enjoy trolls - the Ignore feature works.

Thank you,
You have confirmed my suspicions about your beliefs.
You are member or follower of the "Family Radio Cult"
You believe the witness of the Church is over and that God has destroyed it.
You believe all churches are apostate. That true Christians should leave their church.
You believe that God predestined who would and who would not be saved.
You believe the God allowed the Devil to take over all churches to prepare for the second coming.
You use an allegorical method of interpretation for Scripture.

That about sums it up.

I find it funny someone would mention the rapture doctrine. Considering how its not even in the bible yet so many churches teach it.

Yeh..the word toilet isnt in there either, but im sure they were used.

When i first discovered that the word rapture is not in the bible, i was tempted to think that its all made up! But there is the gathering of the saints, the changing in a twinkling of an eye and many more things to suggest we have to AFTERALL leave this planet, or we will be destroyed with it.

Call that rapture...call that whatever you want.... its either get off of the planet or get destroyed with it, at SOME point.

I am back had to go to another meeting at 3.

Let's look at 1st thessalonians ch4:v16&17

that should clear up any question if the bible teaches a rapture.

the only problem with Rapture is how peopl einterpret it.

So here is th reality, May 21st 2011
1) Jesus will rapture his people off the earth (1st Thessalonians ch4:v16&17
2) Judgement will begin and last 5 months or 153 days. (rev ch9:vs10)
3)This judgement will finish on October 21st 2011

Many have saked me, will you sign over your posessions to me? It is not really a laughing matter, because there will be nothin left for you to receive. So it would go against my faith, belief and understanding that this is going to happen.

If your wrong, will you denounce christianity, or at least admit you were wrong, and stop trying to predict future events, with your ancient book of mythologies?
