You can all visit. Vacation is better with friends.
Sometimes I give the impression I have strong misconceptions about America.
Actually I don't have a negative vision of the US. Nobody in Europe does because we are pretty americanized.
The US is the beacon of freedom, you can smell the scent of freedom and free expression.

I am noting that these American males are so filled with passion and creativity...
they should come to Europe to visit more often... lol
No woman with a sense of self worth would enjoy unsolicited disrespectful and degrading harassment.
You romanticize toxic behavior. The sort of guy who would treat a woman like that is also likely to slap them around, or worse.

But...speaking of movies...
that confirms what I see in American movies.
Girls are too harsh on boys...
If you think movies present reality, let me correct some beliefs you might hold.
- Cars cannot jump over other cars.
- Locks can't be picked by sticking a paper clip in them.
- Silencers on guns don't silence guns.
They're just slightly less loud.
- Radiation exposure doesn't give you superpowers.
- Kung fu doesn't work against guns.
- Arabic has more words than "Dirka dirka Muhammed jihad".
- Gravity can't be switched on & off.

I actually get the impression you glorify the US, not that you have a negative viewpoint of it.

What freedom do you feel you're lacking in Italy? In what way can't you express yourself?

I've seen a lock picked with a clothes hanger.

On the most common locks, picking requires not
only an appropriate tool to rake or individually lift
the pins. It also requires a 2nd tool, ie, a torsion
tool to turn the plug as each pin is picked, & then
to retract the bolt.

A polite greeting or a compliment that's not sexually overt isn't catcalling.
I'm wondering if, for the sake of this thread, we hammer out exactly what we mean by 'catcalling'. Because in my experience, the comments shouted from across the street usually aren't uplifting or respectful.

None. In fact we are pretty americanized because we try to imitate the freedoms they have in the US.

In Rome, they do it 24/7
Hey, pretty,
Hey beautiful.

lol @Estro Felino , just for giggles, I thought you might appreciate my favorite pick up line ever...

I was visiting a friend in a psychiatric ward. There was a common area for visiting and for the patients to socialize; no guests in the rooms. So, my friend and I were sitting at a table playing cards, and a guy that was a patient came up and sat down. "You're hot." He told me. "You oughta have yourself committed." That one I gave an A+ for creativity.
