Er, the Mormon church, which is what this thread is about...Okay, so if you are going to accuse someone of hatred, please tell us who is doing the hating, and then please prove that it is hatred they are displaying.
And the proof they are displaying hatred? Where is your proof that Mormans hate gay people?Er, the Mormon church, which is what this thread is about...
Why don't you read the article linked the OP?And the proof they are displaying hatred? Where is your proof that Mormans hate gay people?
Well, I did. Now present your proof. Why don't you read the article linked the OP?
If you can't see the hatred in effectively forcing the children of gay parents to choose between their family or a religion, then I can't help you and it's best you just move along.Well, I did. Now present your proof.
Just as I supposed...you have no evidence, and no proof that what you have said is true. moving along...If you can't see the hatred in effectively forcing the children of gay parents to choose between their family or a religion, then I can't help you and it's best you just move along.
No, it's more about you not recognizing certain forms of hatred as what they are because you yourself agree with it. Not a surprise.Just as I supposed...you have no evidence, and no proof that what you have said is true. moving along...
Just prove that the Mormon church hates gays, and I'll be off...please, just one shred of evidence will do.No, it's more about you not recognizing certain forms of hatred as what they are because you yourself agree with it. Not a surprise.
If those children were truly seeking God, I doubt Jesus would turn them away. But Jesus is not the Mormon church.I wonder if Jesus would turn them away ?.
I think they do follow Jesus ?.If those children were truly seeking God, I doubt Jesus would turn them away. But Jesus is not the Mormon church.
Sure.Your statement here appears to be an opinion. Care to share some evidence.
Frank, I ask you to do this as a friend; send me a message."FFrNicer"? I'm still the same person, just that I'm not pretending to have faith in something that I really don't.
Why? About what?Frank, I ask you to do this as a friend; send me a message.
They do. They're just as Christian as Lutherans, Calvinists, Catholics(regardless of rite) Jehovah's Witnesses,Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Monophystites, Coptics. Chalcedonians, Fraticelli, Hussites and the list goes on and on but those are the only ones I feel like adding.I think they do follow Jesus ?.
it is about something I would rather discuss in private, so we're not interrupted by some mouth-breathing troglodyte. Why? About what?
In a word, it is not morally acceptable nor does it follow the teachings of Christ. Its a failed attempt to politicize a religion and its views on this topic. Of course, they are free to live by and create whatever ridiculous laws they choose to come up. However, I would not expect a whole lot of people to have any degree of respect for this at all. This seems like a pretty pathetic attempt to show their refusal to accept same-sex marriage by targeting children. Can anyone explain how this is morally acceptable according to the teachings of Christ?

True but polygamy, while illegal insofar as I know, is still practiced by some Mormons. And racism is alive and well within that faith. I ask you, how many Black American Mormons has anyone seen or heard of? None that I recall. You can't disown your parents until you are 18. You can't be a Mormon until you have done that, regardless of your age.
Mormons as a group are extremely family oriented. This anti-family policy won't last long. Some Bishop will get a revelation from God and the homophobic policies will go the way of the policies about polygamy and racism.
