Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
We watched "Clay Pidgeons" last night - from 1998. Joaquim Phoenix and Vince Vaughn were FANTASTIC in this quirky, campy film.

Very unique.

Done here.
I just watched 9 to 5 (with Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dolly Parton) for the first time in many years. Not one of the all-time greats, but Lily does get one of the best lines she's ever had in a movie:
I'm no fool! I killed the boss; you don't think they're gonna fire me for that?

oh look at him! isn't he lovely? and he wants to suck your blood. what more would a girl want from a teenage boy?

.

Why would any girl want that teenage boy when they could have dust1n! :D

I can certainly wear make up and pretend to suck blood too!

I actually did watch both movies because the guys from Science Mystery Theater 3000 did a commentary track to play over it and it was hilarious.

Me and some friends gathered to see Mystery Science Theater 3000 this Friday (the movie), had some laughs.

Watched 'Saving Private Ryan' the other day as it was on tv. Absolutely awesome film, very much enjoyed it, you can see why it won an oscar.
Good story, good pace, deep and thoughtful, emotional, well shot, artistic, special effects are great (still). Detail put into it was v good.

Burn After Reading was a TRIP! If you liked it, you will probably also like Bandits (Billy Bob Thorton, George Clooney and Cate Blanchett - does it get any better than that?).

hey Kathryn :) just finished watching Bandits. i love the end :D
thank you for the advice, good taste

Just saw Shutter Island with Leonardo DiCaprio.

If anyone has seen it, what's your take on the ending? Was he sane or still crazy? Rick and I have been discussing the subject for an hour. I'd like to hear what anyone else thinks. :D

I've yet to see it. Was it any good. Is it worth watching?

I thought it was pretty good and I agree with the 'B' ratings I've seen from critics and viewers online. Leonardo is almost always good in any movie he's ever in. If you haven't see The Departed, I'd definitely recommend it although it's quite violent.

I still haven't got round to watching Shutter Island, but will do soon.

The last film I saw was Into The Wild, and it made me want to get there and travel again.
