No to Fake Meat

Everything

Of course it's an answer. You dont like it. Ok.

What it explains is I have no desire to engage with someone who doesnt know what or whom I'm talking about. If that upsets you, ok. I'm not in control of what upsets you.

Well, you see you can't know that unless the USA is so special that it is not in the world and not made up out of humans.
If that is not the case, then other humans can learn about the USA.
So you claim you know something you don't know. That I am not familar with some political slang, doesn't mean I don't understand anything at all.

So no, I am not upset. I am sorry for you, if you think you are so speical than humans form the rest of world can't learn to understand your culture.
So try again. Explain to me, what it is, that I can't understand.

They even put it in the meat section.
Really? That's rather gross. I wouldn't want to be rummaging round pieces of dead animal when I'm food shopping.

Thankfully in the UK they are not mixed like that...

We Never Know

No Slack
It looks like politics is sticking its oar in...

- Why the humble cow is India's most polarising animal
Sacred, political, religious riots, worshiped and even cosmetics.

"A right-wing Hindu organisation has actually launched cosmetics using cow urine and dung"

And this....

"Historian Mukul Kesavan sees one argument offered for cow protection as "just a belligerent assertion".

"It goes like this: I am a Hindu, the cow is my mother, and I won't have her killed"

Im not sure why you're so angry. I must say though I do appreciate the effort you put into trying to sound snarky.

I.will try again when you say "please".

Probably hoping someone in a hurry will see 'meat' and accidently grab it.

I know there have been times I have been in a hurry and grabbed the wrong things lol
So they should be in separate sections! Likewise low and no alcohol drinks - I don't want to have to study an entire aisle of drinks to find what I'm looking for. Hence the ranges are separate and clearly advertised (in the UK anyway!)

Yeah I mean the package says "meet from plants". Seems pretty clear it's not real meat.
In smaller black letters against a red background, like an afterthought. I know how advertising works. I've worked at supermarket for years, even. There's no reason to keep it in the meat section, either. Especially when there's already a place where they keep the other refrigerated vegan stuff. They're doing it because they hope meat eaters will buy it.

To be fair, meat eaters often do buy meat and non-meat items. Meat consumption is reducing in the UK, but yes keep them apart!

- UK public now eating significantly less meat

Yeah, I don't see a problem?

Hoping meat eaters will buy it, and tricking meat eaters into buying it are completely separate. This is not false advertising because it is labeled as it is.
Legally, it's not false advertising, no. But what they choose to emphasize or not is by design, is what I am saying.

Sure.

It just doesn't seem like some nefarious plot to trick/indoctrinate people to me.

I don't mind that it's sold in my meat aisle if it is, I know the Impossible brand well enough to avoid it.
