Now it's Hillary vs. Trump... how will you pick?

What did you think of O'Malley?
I'll be honest, given all of the headlines focused on other things... I don't know much about him. I know he was the governor of Maryland, that is about it.

Jill Stein. Both main parties are crap shoots. The Republican Party is more of a "bog of eternal stench" (being led by their King of stench, Trump), but Democrats still play in the gutter. If I had to choose between the two I'd have to go Dem, no matter who the nom is, just because I think I'll need to build a fallout shelter if Trump wins. He'll drive this country into oblivion. He doesn't "love" this country, he thinks he owns it along with all his hotels, golf clubs, and factories in Mexico and China.

Honestly if it's not Sanders I might go back to not voting.

Why? It's not like there aren't other candidates to choose from, some even better than him. And if you don't vote, if you don't participate in the process when you are able, then you really have no reason to complain or be upset that someone you don't like made it as president. If you vote, then at least you used your voice and tried. If you don't vote, then you give up that voice.

At this point if it's not Sanders I'll finally and fully be convinced of how broken the system is an how irrelevant citizen desire is.

Uh, the system is broken. Has been for a while. The two party duopoly has been bought and paid for and manipulated through the media companies. Of course it is broken. We have people convinced that voting does no good so 2/3 of our eligible voting population doesn't even vote. We have it droned into us that voting for a party other than Dem or Pub is useless and that is exactly why third parties have such a hard time. If people didn't buy into that crud and actually just voted their conscious we'd have a whole different political landscape in this country. Of course it is broken. It doesn't mean that you don't keep trying to fix it though.

Maybe you should look into that whole Gore vs Bush thing sometime.

I think Sanders still has a good chance, but if it does come down to Hillary vs. Trump, I'll be voting Hillary. Not my first choice, but I think my best under the circumstances.
It would be nice to finally have an election where I am voting for someone and not against someone....

What is it you think I don't know?

And how does that affect what I said? You could still vote. Just because the candidate you prefer doesn't end up on the ballot doesn't mean there aren't other options.

I'm adorable? Is it because I don't throw in the towel in a fit of temper tantrum because I don't get who I want on the ballot? Honestly, not voting at all because the person you like doesn't end up on the ballot sounds childish to me. I actually supported Howard Dean in 2004 and I still voted in that election. I didn't go all "if he's not on the ticket I'm not going to vote anymore". That just makes no sense.

And voting for something where votes don't count doesn't make sense to me! But hey,if it helps you feel productive and important...

To not vote can be a statement.
It's not one I'd make, but I still approve of non-voters complaining about the results.

Why don't I resent their not voting?
Because they'd not likely vote the way I want anyway.

Votes don't count when people think that way. That is the EXACT reason why third parties don't do as well as they could or should. Your exact line of thinking. The idea that it "won't count" or it "doesn't do any good" or that it's "useless". So people get that idea in their head and don't vote for a candidate that truly represents their position and then blame it on them being in a third party. It's ridiculous. Like I said, if more people would chuck that way of thinking, if people would get that stupid idea out their head that their vote doesn't matter or that voting for anything other than Dem or Pub doesn't mean anything then...it WOULD mean something. If people ditched your line of thinking and actually voted their conscious there would be a difference made. But, nooooo, you go on believing what the media and the Dems and Pubs want you to believe. That's how they keep in power. Gullibility.

If you feel your vote does not count what does it matter who gets nominated?

I mean, it sounds like you are saying "if the person I like is on the Presidential ballot I will vote, but if they are not, I wont vote because my vote doesn't matter"

If Bernie is the democratic nomination it shows that the system has CHANGED.
