In my mind, if the system has truly changed then Sanders wouldn't be having to use it to get supporters. By using the broken "two party system" he only perpetuates it. JMO though.

Honestly, I think not voting is the most pathetic form of protest. The apathy...it really You can make all the excuses you want to not vote; they're only designed to deflect feelings of hopelessness. Whether you like it or not, the decision-making process will carry on without you, and the results of those decisions will continue to affect your life. Sorry, but it's attitudes like 'this' that are the problem with the political process. And you know it.

It simply cries of a child whining that if they don't get to play exactly how they want, despite being in a group of other children, they will take their ball and go home. It's the equivalent of a childish temper tantrum and just selfish.

No, it's more like taking no stance either way and not giving a crap what happens and not bothering to do anything because you don't get things exactly the way you want when you want it. It's defeatist. It's lazy. It's juvenile. You don't throw up your hands and go "oh well, the system is bad so I won't bother", you keep working on changing it until it is better. You don't sit in your house and complain that the furnace doesn't work when you use your thermostat and you are cold, you try to fix the problem. You don't just up and decide to freeze because you thought it was the thermostat and it wasn't so you aren't going to bother with the problem at all. You deal with the furnace or the breaker box, or the gas supply or whatever else it may be. You don't just decide to freeze and then whine and complain about your situation because you are too damn lazy to deal with anything other than the thermostat.
Yes, upholding the system is the best way to show you're not falling for it. What a genius! You get them Jew's cause Hitler said so!

Hitler is a good example to break through thick skulls, unless you're dealing with an onslaught of ignorance. Another example could be "how does buying clothes from sweatshops help liberate underpaid child slaves?" Or how does going to the movies and buying dvds protest the movie industry? Or how is eating meat from a place that torments their animals a protest of animal cruelty?

By continuing to vote for and get the word out about third party candidates one is trying to advocate for the opening up and the honest assessment of our current political system. The more people who vote third party the more people will see that these parties are gaining followers and may actually look into them for themselves. It's a slow movement, but certainly better than your option of doing absolutely nothing. What does doing nothing accomplish? Do you think you make a statement that is noticeable when you do nothing? That you make a difference in anything by throwing a temper tantrum and saying "I give up"? Just, exactly, what does that hope to change?

Oh, and I wouldn't recommend Sanders to anyone. Goes against my conscious. I prefer to support someone more consistent with their stances.
