Current news report....this country is split right down the middle about this upcoming speech.
I don`t know what you`re referring to.That's pathetic....not knowing where to drawn the line.
I've drawn it repeatedly.....need to see it again?
Obama or anyone else can put their podium where ever they like.
I`m not raising children so weak as to become indoctrinated by political pundits.
Unfortunately the rest of my country sees political indoctrination as keeping the status quo.
Hey ''Weed"....my concern is not altogether the content.
A proper forum at a proper hour. That's my point.
So maybe it's time to pull the plug!
What's wrong with prime time tv?

Thank goodness Utah's governor (who is quite conservative) told parents to send their kids to school and told them to listen to Obama's speech. From an article in "The Moderate Voice:
Republican Gov. Gary Herbert supports President Barack Obamas plan to deliver a televised back-to-school speech to the nations students on Tuesday, saying he sees nothing but good coming out of this.
Herbert said he favors letting students listen to the speech, and he thinks it will foster a dialogue between parents and their children.
I think its great. To hear from the president of the United States is an important thing, he said Saturday. Id like to hear what he has to say.
I hope parents will take the opportunity to discuss the issues with their children, hear what the presidents views are and what his vision is for the future of America. If they agree, then explain that. If they disagree, explain to their children why. I see nothing but good coming out of this, he said.
What we first need to do is define the word "debate", and indeed, the word "is".
Tactics.
The captive audience scenario I just posted.
School is not for politics...of any kind....even if it appears benign.
Now...if the child is old enough to be shown what politics is....as a technique...fine.
Teaching tactic as a course would be good.
Teaching speech is good.
Being stuck in your seat without recourse....and not able to say 'nay'....bad.
The president is not a teacher...just because he got elected.

Greeting's,
To a very great degree impressive numbers of citizen's are voicing their obvious
disapproval regarding the Presidents decision to address the nations public school children next week.
The best efforts of much of the national media to minimize the vigorous and ever increasing concerns of the American people in this instance has failed miserably.
An obvious and most welcome indicator of greater public participation and influence involving the elected official's domain at all levels has been established. :clap...........................................................................................
As so many American citizens have strongly indicated : The Washington Administration at present is overwhelmed with multitudes of ominous national
and global problems that represent an unparalled threat to the American people..........:faint:
Perhaps now is not the time for our President to apply other somewhat unclear and distracting options such as addressing public school children all across the nation. If conditions change within the nation..... the dangerous problems the American nation is facing begin alleviation........and the genuine alarm the citizens are experiencing as a result of this staggering situation gradually begins to subside as the nation at last retains a measure of normalcy.............. ..Then and only then should our President consider these normally most welcome events to participate in : A positive and patriotic national talk to students at our public schools.....................
We must remember that our President has without doubt inherited a vast array of extremely complicated and dangerous problems by anyones estimation. Also to further complicate matters is the extensive inexperience factor of a former Jr. U.S Senator suddenly occupying the Chief Executives position.......... All of course allude to the painfully obvious "Unknown Quantity " status of our President at this
unfortunate time in Americas history..................
And what shall we say to this current magnified controversy regarding a President's speech to school children....................... :help: One answer may be..... Consider the voice of so many of American's citizens and in effect..... Do this reasonable
student address at a future time in your administration...... when you have proven yourself as an effective leader of a then most greatful American Nation.......
Problem Solved................ May it be so....... Thank You M/S 1
NO! Is as what I say is is! And thats not it!
