Ohio governor to sign bill allowing armed school employees | AP News
The article mentions that this bill is opposed by major law enforcement groups, gun control advocates, and state teacher unions, and supported by only a handful of police departments and school districts.
I'm not sure how it would work in practice. I wonder how it would affect school discipline.
It seems to me that it sends the message that mass shooters in Ohio are going to be quickly shot, which would be an appropriate deterrence, don't you think? The article is scarce on details. It doesn't say what major law enforcement groups (if any) oppose the bill, nor does why say why they would oppose it. Leaving out such an important detail is sus.
