He writes that he is, “Not Religious, Not Religious, but Spiritual.” And says, under personality that he is, a “lover, conservative, professional, intellectual, introvert.” He also says under interests, “internet, killing zombies, movies, music, reading.”
Harper Mercer says he is “mixed race,” doesn’t drink and is a “conservative, Republican.”

"Before the actual name of the shooter was released, a different name, Toby Reynolds, also known as Egg Man, spread on social media and some websites as the shooter.
He called NBC News and told them he was alive and not the shooter.
A post on the message board 4Chan Wednesday night at 7:19 p.m. local time that said “Some of you guys are alright. Don’t go to school tomorrow if you live in the northwest,” is being investigated as possibly connected to the shooting."
In the discussion thread, some users told him not to do it, while others encouraged him and gave him ideas for how he could kill people."

Just for the record, where do you get the notion that the old American "Wild West" cowboy age was full of gun slinging murderers, that blew people away every day over a card game in the saloon? The movies/TV? Sigh.
Historically (which differs from fictional Hollywood movies) the Wild West had an average of 1.5 murders per year. The most a town ever saw was 5 murders in a single year. Yes, even the almighty Tombstone, AZ. is included in that list.
As others have stated, it is not a gun problem...it is a mental health problem. Guns are protected by the US Constitution, and the only way that gets changed is through a constitutional amendment...which won't happen.

Who cares? They're all the same with the same pointless manifestos and the same grandiosity to think their 5 minutes in fame matter. At the end of the day, there manifestos go unknown, there names are quickly forgotten, and everyone goes on about their lives, except the victims and families of the victims.
Ask a random person what the unibomber believed? What was the aim of the OKC bombing? The Virginia Tech shooting?
No one knows. No one cares. Except for compulsive people like ourselves who have to look up everything, of course.

1-Good wishes and prayers for wounded ones and for those who lost innocent dear ones.
2-In the changed world, there should be soft-facilities (at school-college-university-community centers, experts etc) where people who have any kind of brewing or brewed tensions, troubles, problems can go with confidence to get practicable advice and help -- before it becomes like this sad event.

It's so much violence and crime anymore. I found out about the shooting when a local station was airing Obama's speech, and then when I flipped on the news tonight there was a murder-suicide at IU Bloomington.
That sounds eerily like Columbine.

but what i see ,is provide to criminals efficace weapon to do their crimes too .

yesterday i watched CNN live , i watched this crime and Russia airstrike in Syria ( Breaking News ) , i translated that event to my parent to Arabic lol
back to movies :
some stories in Movies may steroetypes or imaginaire but some of them it's really give image of people way of living , virtual image , especially which inspired from real stories happened .
I had Algeria friend lived in NJ, and my cousin was in Chicago , they give me more details about American way of life .

I am affraid it's may double or triple of victimes of mass shooting .
ok if list ban the most dangerous weapon ,that's make different .
if that criminal had just knife (for exemple) he will may wounded someone , or two , being captured before he did it .
so the efficacity is what make different for criminals , and victimes count .
how do you be sure that i ignored the way of life in West ,what gauges to judge me ?
is not watching movies and listen to music and reading books as mirror of other cultures, and way of life ?
